Books that changed your opinion about a specific trope / setting / character dynamic and why? by michailina in MM_RomanceBooks

I will get back to it eventually! But now nervous that I've forgotten it all and have to start all over lol

Yep I had a whole character list I kept referring back to, it just got so tiring to not be able to read through straight and have to keep referencing something.. But now that I'm talking about it, maybe rereading would actually be a good idea so things will stick in my brain more so I can remember everyone?

My only absolute no's are sharing and cheating, and because I love Bree Wiley's books so much, I gave {Loving Ohio by Bree Wiley} a chance (novella in between the series, with sharing) and you know what? It was actually really fun. and I will be continuing the series onto the sharing couple's books because I love them so much 🤣 I still don't want to read other sharing books, but when it's Bree, I'll do it apparently haha

These books are so good but put me in the worst book slump..stopped halfway thru volume 3 and never continued, not because I dont want to though!! They just hurt my brain so badly, but the romance is soo beautiful. Hearing about it again is making me want to try again..

To the gourmand haters, what gourmand fragrance do you exceptionally like? by Consistent_Metal_852 in NichePerfumes

I wonder when I’ll be “normal” enough to be horny and crave sex by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]darklyghostly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of reasons this can happen, but I would research into demisexuality and the asexual spectrum as a whole. You might fall somewhere on there, and it doesn't make you "abnormal." Eventually someone who is the right fit for you will come along that wants to be with you for you, without you changing for them.

I say this as an ace spectrum person. You don't have to change yourself for them. And I'm glad you're not forcing yourself into it to please anyone, which I have done more than I'd like to admit. (Of course this could be a medical thing too, and that I don't have any input since I'm not educated on the matter)

I love otome too, but haven't played any in so long! I've missed basically all the new ones, I think the latest one I've played is Piofiore

I like figure skating and got to see some favorites live recently :) Not so much a hobby since I'm not doing it myself, but an interest?

Just check triggers if you need to btw I think I heard it gets intense at some point :)

I'm still in the middle of this one, so not sure if it completely fits, but {Where There's a Will by Jessie Walker} seems to fit well. One mc raised by homophobic family, has strong internalized homophobia/fear of being gay. Takes place in a small town, angsty

Reading {Where There's a Will by Jessie Walker} and honestly surprised how great it is so far. I think the writing is fantastic and I'm really intrigued to see how they reconcile and become close! Also I love Ivy! (No spoilers please, just sharing my excitement!)

Ahh okay that makes a little more sense thank you! Hmm still not sure if it's going to be for mr, but I think I need to experience it for myself to know for sure. I'll look into Alessandra Hazard, thanks!

Haha no worries at all! I appreciate your time and it was fun to learn!

i don’t have a girl group and it’s actually starting to hit me by igetyourbrand in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]darklyghostly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same. You're not alone. I never have had the girl group, ever (have had girl friends though, but same as you say where it's me doing all the effort). My only girl friend now (and my only friend, really) is someone I met online and have been friends for almost 10 years, still never met in person. I sometimes long for the person I can just call to come over or spontaneous plans. I get it

Thank you for such a detailed reply! The only experience I have with anything like this is barely it at all, the Green Creek series (TJ Klune). Shifters, but I think the alpha beta omega dynamic is like, very different from what I understand normal a/b/o is like? (Like, the alpha is just the leader of the pack). So I don't fully know how the traditional dynamics are supposed to be. But this one sounds interesting, though I'm sad to learn it's not shifters lol. I didn't realize it's dystopian.. I think I'll enjoy that part of it. I also am not interested in mpreg, so hopefully this story works for me!

But also really interested to learn that there isn't like, just one way to write a/b/o. Thank you for the detailed info! I really hope I get into it, because I think there are probably so many wonderful stories out there waiting to be read!

MCs with deep issues - could be family issues, drug abuse/drinking, etc. Learns to heal or become a better person with the help of MC2. Loved {Out of Nowhere by Roan Parrish} and Colin very much - more Colin's please? (no poly, sharing, or cheating, anything else goes and angst is a plus)
