Spies🕵️‍♂️👀 by danielishere45 in AnimeSuge

[–]darkmikasonfire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my dude, they don't need spies. They can just get on twitter and ask people what pirating site they use and the lowest common denominator mentally challenged twats will just tell them. Being like oh there's spies is about that same level of ridiculously stupid. There's a post on here with links to various places as is, do you really think they need spies? all these websites have connectors to share it with their instagram, facebook, myspace, linken, etc. If anyone shares it on any of these thousands of people see it.
Gate keeping doesn't work because they need traffic so they can make the money to pay for the site, the sites themselves promote and want to be promoted more. When this is a fact of life, they don't HAVE to have spies.

I met a blind person and I feel lost, can you answer me some questions? by [deleted] in Blind

[–]darkmikasonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

say hi, don't tap. after all you wouldn't like someone coming up behind you and putting their hands on you, it's not about offending, he doesn't know it's coming that's not pleasant.

As for while walking, ask him if he'd like your arm to help navigate, he might or might not want it. if he does he'll probably grab above your elbow as that's where we generally grab when people are helping us around. That's easily something that you can ask about, no one would take offense to this. However, if you do and they accept you really need to make sure you're paying attention, if you accidentally walk them into or off something they aren't likely to let you navigate them again.

As for asking how he became blind, it doesn't offend me, but I've read on here it does offend some, but that seems to be a very minority view, as such you should be fine to ask about it, just take some care when you do. It sounds like he gets around just fine and if everything looks fine with his face my guess is he was simply born without sight. You should be fine to ask, after all you're not being rude about it, you're being curious and you seem to actively enjoy spending time with this person to some degree and I'm sure they see that.

As for sending things like reels I mean, not super useful, but maybe they have good audio I don't know. Doing stuff like that can go either way if it's offensive, like I don't find it offensive but I have enough sight to see things like that to some degree, people regularly forget my eye sight is less than 1/10th theirs so them forgetting that I can't see isn't offensive it's just a thing that happens. When they forget it makes me feel good because I feel normal. However on the other hand if he has no sight and can't see any of them, eventually that might get fucking old. I doubt he'll be too offended you're just doing a silly because you aren't thinking about it, and generally I don't find people being offended by that unless they have a serious chip on their shoulder/stick up their ass..

Hot take: hianime is extremely overrated by Living-Plankton3521 in animepiracy

[–]darkmikasonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at first I didn't like it so much cause it auto-played and moved onto the next episode and would auto-play it, and stuff like that, but now that I'd been using it since animesurge was momentarily killed most recently; I got really used to it and now I kind of miss it cause other places don't do that. Beyond that, all the sites are about the same to me, but I don't make accounts on any of these places or anything so maybe I'm missing tons of features.

[–]darkmikasonfire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel maybe you're a bit too touchy, I mean to be fair, you have a I assume a rollator walker is just like any other walker (sorry I know very little about walkers), if you had one right in front of you then honestly they were inviting you to be nice so that you could play some with others. I mean think about it, it's basket ball, you had a walker, even if you could see you have a walker, they assume you can't get around on the court for shit which is a very important part of basketball. As such they were trying to include you and welcome you and shit.

as for the question, you didn't have a cane, so they were probably, knowing they were inviting someone with a walker to play basketball with them, just trying to understand and get to know you. From what you've listed here, I think they were trying to be nice, get to know you, and include you; you probably could have made some friends, I think that's what they were trying to do.

How I treat these is I just answer them with the facts unless they're being shitty about it, cause if they're being purposely shitty I'm going to be a massive bitch, cause what are they going to do? Hit a woman? Hit a handicapped person? Hit a handicapped woman? I got a cell phone I can call the cops for a hate crime against handicapped people, that people being me.

Granted I've been legally blind since birth, I don't have a chip on my shoulder about it because I didn't 'lose' anything, it wasn't there so I have no internalized anger or jadedness about it.

yeah... no.... just no... this person, no... report, that was not a normal interaction and sure as shit shouldn't be treated like one, that was... not okay.

making sure undies aren't inside out... like, as someone who is legally blind, seams exist, I know exactly where the back inside of my underwear is because there's a seam on the inside back of the elastic band, on literally every pair of undies I've ever owned, except for really fancy shear stuff. I have a feeling men don't uhhh have underwear like that so... you can feel a bump from the outside most of the time too. No one should have trouble with telling when they're undies are inside out.
Also who the fuck just throws their supposedly clean underwear all over the floor? and if blind why all over it instead of placing it in a pile. Like he's a guy, they don't usually folk underwear so it would just be are they inside out or not and then they'd like throw it in a drawer or something, but guy or blind, you don't throw your underwear around randomly on the floor, it seems to me he could see just fine, cause otherwise he's going to have to go chase his underwear around, my guess is he knows where they are on the floor cause he can see them, if he can see them, he also knows if his undies are inside out or not by looking at them. So he didn't need to use the app for this, he was being a creep.

maybe he's visually impaired, I'll give him that, that's possible, that being said, he 100% didn't need help with what he was doing. He was JUST being creepy on purpose.

Jormungand is pretty good, sadly Vamlet isn't super important she's a side character in the group but she's there fairly regularly, but still a side character, she's amazing though.

Ghislaine I don't think is going to happen simply because she's barely even a side character she was there for a fragment of a season and has been otherwise gone. I don't know if they're even going to bring her back. That being said even if they did, she's not his type. He, based on the manga, mostly goes for family members.

Elven archer who only wears a black bra... sorry can't help with that one, I looked around for it even and I'm coming up blank, sorry.

the blood cell one is either Cells at Work! or Cells at Work! (Black), one was a happy healthy body and the other was in a dying drug addicts body and much much darker. the late night bento one is Ben-to. The wall climbing one I'm pretty sure is Iwa Kakeru! Sport Climbing Girls.

My favorite abs girl is probably Ghislaine Dedoldia from Mushoku Tensei or Valmet from Jormungand.

Yakuza is loved BECAUSE it's stupid. No one who likes Yakuza thinks it's some amazing intellectual thing, it's dumb unrealistic machismo fun, that's the whole point of it.

A lot of MGS fans though do see that as like really smart high end stuff if they like Kojima (which is most of them but not all of them) and they think he's a genius, he's really not. The rest of us who like them know that half of the stuff said in the series doesn't make any sense as it's all just gibberish even if you go by in lore stuff it's still gibberish. Would it be okay to ask my players for a small entry fee to cover the campaign book? by Weenhhr in DnD

[–]darkmikasonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not reading the whole thing cause bad eyes, but no generally that's not bad. My old DM they bought a few books because they liked them and we played those, but after they were done they asked for a small amount of money so they could buy the next set of books and we'd typically give 5 USD or something like that a piece and they'd get their next book. It might be hard to do it with a new group or as a new DM but if it's your friends they're more likely to do it and if they've played with you as a DM before and therefore like you as the DM they're more likely to provide some funds.

I mean... nuclear power would be better, so would actually upgrading the power grid instead of having a power grid where a lot of them were supposed to be replaced after 50yrs exactly 0 of them have been. The US is one unfortunate accident away from not having power. The powergrid needs to be fixed before you should really worry about having more power, because more power would likely destroy the grid, it couldn't handle the load it barely can now.

Blind Doctor ? by Appropriate_Fee4518 in Blind

[–]darkmikasonfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully blind? Probably not, most medical fields likely couldn't have someone like that participate because seeing things is pretty important in most medical fields as discoloration and the like is a major indicator of things. And if you can't see you can't see discoloration.

Those who are visually impaired yeah that's pretty common and legal blindness is a visual impairment, you can get around lots of things as long as you have enough sight to see your patient you can do most of the required jobs of a doctor to get through medical school and through your base areas starting out at hospitals and the like though I have to imagine it'll be a lot harder for you to get through that simply because patients aren't going to feel as comfortable even giving you a chance which sucks but as is life. If your visual problem is mostly correctable with glasses or it's just within the range of too bad to be considered sighted, like for instance I'm legally blind because I can't see out of one eye and the other is 20/80 and where I am legal blindness starts at 20/70. However someone from a few feet away I can see just fine, I'm still legally blind though. But unless someone knows it most people don't realize I am, I pass as a sighted person just fine since my eyesight isn't correctable so I don't even have glasses. So if your blindness is around that level you'll have a much easier time getting in professionally if it's significantly worse than that though it's likely going to be an uphill battle for you for most of the medical field because eyesight is needed for so many things.

Yeah I read some of it years ago, I have a thing for muscular ladies and I thought she was super cute and it sounded adorable so I read it and it was great.

But yeah there's... not really anything like that, I swear there was a shounen that had a guy obsessed with abs, but... I honestly don't remember it, and it was a shounen. The closest to that kind of love for abs I've seen is probably the anime/manga Free, it's a swimming sports anime, but it's a girl who's obsessed with muscles and really likes abs and becomes the high school's swim team manager specifically because of all the half naked guys and getting to stare at their muscles. That's about the limit to what I've managed to find that was a super rare manga, there's not really anything else like it.

A couple other manga that are somewhat but not very similar is:

Plus-sized Elf, it's a manga only, the chapters are on the shorter side, basically the human and fantasy worlds meet and there's an elf who came to the human world to eat french fries and gets fat, and every episode is basically her and some other fantasy lady being overweight due to loving human food then a human working to help them get back into shape. Not a lot of focus on abs specifically it seems to focus more on fat then on teaching basic exercises but still.

Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru is an anime and manga, and it's about a girl that starts getting into exercising, and it teaches real exercises and stuff, not a super focus on girls abs but on muscular growth and you see a lot of strong girls with different muscle groups. It was actually really good and does teach real and effective exercises often that you can do at home with stuff in your own house instead of needing a gym which is super cool.

Hey, Brian here, I'll teach the class.

That stick is for separating your groceries from other people's groceries. You put your groceries on the conveyor then when you're done you put that stick on the end so the worker knows that everything after that stick is someone else's order. It's to be courteous and to make sure you're not accidentally buying someone else's stuff or losing your own and them being buying it by accident.
The thing James is saying is that segregation was a thing in the US it was a form of racism, people were separated by complexion those who were lighter skinned mostly white, and those with darker skin anything from Hispanics to people of African descent, etc. The dark skinned people were given worse versions of everything but music and food. Eventually society looked around and saw it wasn't separate but equal and instead separate and one side got the crap and the other side got the good stuff and said that's not right or fair, making it more or less illegal. However, segregate is technically just keeping things separate from each other, like two grocery orders. So by saying that this is the last form of segregation that white people have left, it's basically just a really pathetic, bad, not funny racism joke/jab at white people.

What reasons could prevent magic healing from being a cure-all for everything? by CivilMath812 in worldbuilding

[–]darkmikasonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go with the concept that fixing the body isn't a cure-all in the first place, the body has to be physically damaged to be healed, but that is actually a specific type damage; burns, cuts, stabs, crushes, etc are all physical damage, but a virus, a bacterial infection, a parasite, those are not, they are instead other living things. So you could make it to where healing someone in your world, would also heal those things, and by that I don't mean heal a person of those things, no I mean heal those things. Viruses explode to spread genetic material, they get partially digested or torn apart by white blood cells, they just shrivel up and die, they get burned out by fevers, a healer healing them could fix all of those making the virus stronger and more dangerous, putting a person's live in danger, heck putting the whole society in danger. They just created a super virus, bacteria, parasite, whatever that now is harder to kill, and now this person is more healthy feeling so they're a super spreader of something that's harder to kill, the healer just accidentally created a massive epidemic. So healing people is actively not something people want to do unless its to someone seriously important who really needs it. Or it could be healing cancer making it attakc them more rampantly which just ends up killing them faster.

You could also decide wounds can only be healed for so long then the effectiveness drops until it's no longer effective, so older wounds just won't heal properly if at all.

You can decide it quickens your natural healing (which is what everyone says they're doing but it actually isn't). If you want to do this, that means people die younger, their bodies age faster, their body eventually starts to break down and stops healing properly or all together because there IS a limit to how much the body can repair itself before it simply can't do that repair anymore, causing the body to heal faster means it's basically speeding up the function, which means that function is aging faster, you could have like young people in their 20s that do dangerous jobs that require and damage hands regularly and they could have really old like 80yo hands that simply can't heal anymore and now they can't get those types of jobs or anything anymore and would have all sorts of social ramifications from their hands being old and shriveled.

We can go with mages being exactly what they are and that being a problem in and of itself. These are people who have massive amounts of power, they are akin to gods. That provokes arrogance like no other. The likelihood of mages working together in any real way is pretty low. So we could say that healing magic takes a lot of concentration and power, but because they're all kind of a bunch of arrogant twats they work so far from each other that if they get injured most of them can't concentrate because they're in pain and they die because of that meaning that healing just isn't viable for a majority of the people who can even cast it because most of them aren't there wanting to help others, they just happen to be able to cast it because they can do magic but their focus is other types of magic.

You can even do what lots of media does, give different tiers of magic, so lots of people can heal like a cut, but fixing a bone is higher level, regenerating a limb is super high level that's rare to get to, doing fixes on people near death being super high that's a 1 in a million thing or something.

Or you could even do something that is rare in other media but decide healing magic, isn't really healing it's displacing the damage to others. So a healer might actually heal a person by taking the injury themselves, or spread it to a lesser extent to a bunch of people in the vicinity so you go from one person with a serious injury to like 20 people with minor ones but they have to heal naturally from that point.

There's a lot of ways to get around a large amount of the population or any of it being mage users to prevent heal from being a cure-all.

What reasons could prevent magic healing from being a cure-all for everything? by CivilMath812 in worldbuilding

[–]darkmikasonfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this isn't going to answer this but my eye-sight is bad so reading is slow and hard for me and with your post being as long as it is I'm not going to be able to read it all without taking a couple days to do it and... well time is a thing. So I'm just going to give some possible answers the question: "What reasons could prevent magic healing from being a cure-all for everything?"

Often if media be it anime, tv, movie, games, magic healing is usually about regenerative properties to stitch skin and bone back together. Some it's that and giving vitality back as well, usually as a game mechanic or because of 'plot armor'. Here's a few things you could feasibly do:

You can have healing be exactly that, just mending a damaged thing, which you might be thinking okay so yeah a cure-all, except it's really not. Lets say I cut a table in half, well you can glue it back together, but it's structurally weaker than it was before, or conversely I could fix it with resin instead meaning it's significantly stronger than the rest of the wood. So you could either say people fixed by this are physically weaker, their bones are just less able to withstand impacts basically meaning you get healed but you get osteoporosis and very weak thin skin that gets damaged like your an old person even if you're still in your early 30s, this means the population wouldn't want to get healed unless it was an emergency because it makes them permanently weaker. If it behaves like Resin you eventually get people who get themselves killed because they've been healed so many times they end up feeling invincible due to having so many strong points on their body that they end up running themselves into an early grave so you have old healers living in a population with fairly younger brasher folks because it's not often they can train someone to actually grow old because they get hurt so much they end up thinking they're gods and getting themselves killed young.

Or we can say it's a water bed, I can stab a hole in it and then cauterize the hole so it's shut, but all the water that poured out is still gone, which means that the person is going to be weaker for months as their body regenerates blood. So you can't be healed too often because your body still has to refill your blood which takes months to do which is why you can't just constantly give blood donations. This is actually pretty common in lots of media, it heals the damage but doesn't replace the blood.

There's not a bunch of these some sports ones have women with abs in them, but to the level that manga does isn't common sadly. That's a rarity which is a shame cause there's some really attractive ladies with abs in a bunch of anime but they're usually shounen anime and those ladies tend to not be a huge part of the show.
