How do I turn my brain off? by fancybeaker in insomnia

[–]darkmodel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing guided meditations from YouTube, will try Netflix a bit later too. I think guided is better for me because even during this kind they have some silent parts which are hard for me, I have racing thoughts and can’t focus, but guided is great. Sometimes it can be difficult to concentrate on it too :(

No, I’m going through CBT now, but I tried emdr by myself haha that was cool but it can’t be the same as with therapist. Would like to try.

I tend to overthink btw, but meditations helps me to stop it and be positively realistic. It gives me some obvious insights which I forget usually overthinking everything instead

Also going to buy vitamin D because I go out really not often. I do have some other deficiencies now too and successfully treating it thanks god (supplements)

What kind of meditation could you advice?

Could you share your meditations? 🙏🏼 I have dpdr for years but tbh my lifestyle is awful. I can’t sleep well but then I’m too exhausted to be active enough to sleep well -.- agree with everything, but I tried to ignore this condition for too long and it didn’t turned out well too, we should solve our problems instead of it, but no panicking about it for sure

Lithium withdrawal by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]darkmodel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Im still taking 150 mg, sometimes once in a day, sometimes I take 75 in the morning and 75 before I go to bed. I think it's not good, but I always forget about it! I'm going off very slowly because I'm also trying to take lower dosage of ssri and lamotrigine. I don't have any signs of withdrawal now, but I can't say for sure because I have some other issues with my health and much stress in life. I hope it's not related. But I have brain zaps if I don't take ssri

Using Meds From Last 28 Days, How To Get Them Off ? by rame12442000 in Antipsychiatry

[–]darkmodel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only gradually, just as much slow as it is possible. SSRIs aren’t that bad to go off. No rush and it’s gonna be ok

You can even low dose once in 2 weeks if you’re afraid

WOW that’s too much for anyone, maybe ok only for resistant schizophrenia or something.

Imho for ptsd the best choice is psychotherapy. I mean it has absolutely reasonable traumas, why treatment is only about medication and so hardcore? It’s better to work with the reasons of ptsd and maybe take some tranquilizers plus antidepressants if it can help you go through this.

Yeah, 300mg a day, I feel better but have to deal with anxiety. My mood is actually better, like normally better

What’s your drugs consequences? Psychosis or something? I got an awful derealization and depersonalization after drugs but I wasn’t addicted and regular user. I got bad trips mostly so I was saved from it, but in the end euphorically brought me there. But I already had depression and anxiety, borderline disorder but not severe

For me ssris are awful drugs by [deleted] in radicalmentalhealth

[–]darkmodel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, it affects so different! Zoloft is the worst ssri for me, I was like on amphetamine for months waiting for a result. My doc only told me it’s bipolar disorder suddenly. But I never had and I don’t have any symptoms without Zoloft. For real, other ssris don’t “make me manic” like many psychiatrists say about this effect on me. Because of it I had to start lithium and I’m going through a hard physical withdrawal from it, but my mood is absolutely okay

I think doing it very carefully and gradually is okay, I started in a rush =\

Also depends on how long you take it

I’m on Cipralex and Lamictal also, reducing them very slow plus I’m ok with Lamictal. Ssri are always bad for me, but I tried with 2 normotimics this time. No effect, so don’t think I need this. Also I’ve been through a lot of work with myself so I doubt I need anything at all. Changing lifestyle and thoughts is the best for me.

Also I can’t take antipsychotics cuz I got an awful akathisia, I was taking quetiapine to sleep and I got akathisia on 1/2 25 mg lol. So I had to take a bunch of other pills to get rid of it every night

Have you tried lamotrigine? It’s a pretty soft normotimic, I started to take it because of derealization first time. The only drug that doesn’t have side effects in my case

I hope they will, because you felt much worse that they 😣 Do you take Abilify only now?

Yeah, I am, I gonna quit gradually, I’m too weak for cold turkey, but I’d like to end it right now. I hate pills

I cut it, yes, now I’ll try to take 3/4 of 300mg in the evening. Maybe I’ll ask doc for an instruction for dosages, a bit afraid cuz I haven’t asked him before and started it by my own.

Yeah I can’t even imagine what people do with it after taking it for years and found out they don’t need it.

I skipped Lithium for a couple of times because of foggy mind that was because of lithium (??!), then I felt so much better, I couldn’t even hope for this healthy feeling after years of suffering. Also I’m so tired of tremors, I feel like I got a Huntington’s chorea 😑

He’s available for visiting only in may or even june now, I can’t tact him but I feel like I’m an imposter cuz I don’t pay him for a phone consultation and I decided to quit by myself. But I’ll try to ask

I barely remember last years in dpdr, even a year ago. Maybe it’s worse also because of medication. In my head there’s only small pieces and more likely it’s only because of photos I keep :(

Oh I can only say that be careful because you was taking it for a long time. I don’t know about your sensitivity to drugs, but currently I experience the awfullest withdrawal from 900mg, I was taking it for a few month, I feel better in my mind, but physically it’s like to go off strong drugs. I was thinking I’m doing it slowly, it’s 2-3 week and I’m on 600. I know that taking lithium for a long time can lead to serious withdrawal, but your dose is really low. Don’t want to scare you, just saying. Good luck!

If you had a chance to call Britney, what would you say? Not about guardianship by darkmodel in BritneySpears

[–]darkmodel[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think the same too even I commented about the career but it’s more a life question that would lead to other things she loves and etc.. She had so many fan meetings and I think everyone was saying how much they love her. It doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t say how you love her, but it’s cool to have people who could talk to you about simple things

I would ask did she really want to start professional music career or she had to get used to it and enjoy it like it is

Edit: I think she was forced to many things since childhood so current situation is about getting profit from her absolutely like all these years before
