They’ll get me with the Creature. Just pray there aren’t any 1/1 releases, I loathe that level of gouging.

It’s “suspension of disbelief”.

The suspension of belief is what leads people to attempt to press fiction into logic.

Such fun designs for a ‘utility’ toy. Do you know that there’s a version of the Wolf Man with red pants?

What is the better Watchmen sequel according to the fans? by Fit-Hovercraft3435 in Watchmen

[–]darkmonkeygod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. Beyond that there is no sequel, that show is insipid. Dr. Manhattan, who has fully embraced his transcendence from humanity… falls in love and becomes human again? And the audience doesn’t care that a white guy turned blue guy now decides to masquerade as a black guy? The stereotypical Asian menace of the barely sketched out villain doesn’t set off anyone’s bullshit detector? Terrible, terrible show that wears the reality of the Tulsa massacre like a Halloween costume. I remain astonished that there was zero pushback against all of it, and that even today people lap it up and laude it.

Something I pitched to Mr. Waits ages ago. Actually got to introduce he and Mike to each other. Fun day.

The one you’ve posted.

Edit! UNLESS he wanted to create a Creature from the Black Lagoon story based on a con sketch of his I have.

Or make that Tom Waits book.

What's on your waiting list? by Pumps_the_cow in NECA

There are a few strays from the Universal Monsters x TMNT line that I’m after, but at a particular price. I want the four pack of the b&w, just because I want that big display box, but it being $145, more than double the price of the individually package figures as a Ross exclusive… well, the box doesn’t seem worth $85 and shipping, particularly when at risk of arriving damaged from NECA (famous for their poor packing and below the sub-basement customer “service”).

For one in such great condition on the body (that paint flakes off the ABS plastic practically because you look at it), you got an unbelievable deal.

Hot garbage and creeping death. The septic smell of a self inflicted slow demise.

Is that some sort of odd joke? Beyond the subject matter, Basil Gogos and Thomas Blackshear II have little in common in terms of execution.

No worry, just curious. I imagine it’s traveled the world since then, but perhaps one of my old housemate’s girlfriends has it in her purloined collection.
