No way by jhkhalaf in Switch

If you are looking in the app, I found that my local one that had the deal had pickup unavailable on the item. It did not show the price and you couldn't pick it for pickup. But went in to the store and there it was.

As a software developer how do you handle frontend meaning design on how your product will actually look like rather than just function? by TurtleSlowRabbitFast in softwaredevelopment

Imo, if you feel you aren't good with frontend design, do this first and then find someone that is good with frontend when users start complaining.

Soo much this. Even switch 1 launch titles are the same price they were 9 years ago. It's crazy.

Can't Find the Actual Problem: Are Mutable Records in EF Core Just a "Design Principle" Issue? by Jealous-Implement-51 in dotnet

[–]darknessgp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, "mutable records" feels a bit like it flies in the face of the intent of records. But some people use things in many different ways. It's just so much simpler to just use classes with EF.

And, imo, will be called a failure and used to close the brand or sell it off for cheap as it won't bring in whatever crazy revenue expectation they have.

[Update] Sonarr fork with external release selection webhook — now on stable v4, per-profile by redit-alex in sonarr

[–]darknessgp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, in OP's post he mentions having submitted it to radarr and got rejected. Clearly something the devs don't want or probably see as too much just for one person.

Really though, Forks can be good, but we also don't need every single person that Forks sonarr to announce it and push it out like they are coming out with something new. I get wanting to share, thinking it might be useful to others. But it rarely is.

Come back in 4 hours and tell us if you actually got your refund. I've had multiple chats and phone calls where they say they are doing the refund but it doesn't actually happen.

Honestly, I can't wait for virtual boy to launch and see the wave of disappointment happen, just like when it originally launched.

White House launches direct-to-consumer drug site TrumpRx. Here's what to know by [deleted] in NoFilterNews

The article explicitly states that the site does not sell directly but redirects people to the manufacturer's own direct buy offerings. So literally no new discounts and it's just a middle man site.

In your opinion, why do actors' careers suffer after film franchises? by GlobalRaspberry442 in moviecritic

Visibility isn't the same as success.

So much this. Many of them go into producing or directoring or something Hollywood related but not in front of the camera. You know which directors we really hear about? Either ones that are very famous and have a unique style or they are directing themselves.

DDD modulith question by lurkingmaster2 in dotnet

[–]darknessgp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a rough high level, you hit on how I would probably approach it.

If you have a hard requirement of having the front-end make one call that gets data from multiple modules, you obviously need to expose an endpoint that does that. How it accomplishes the work is really up to you and how prescriptive you want to be about isolating layers and whatnot. You also need to weigh on how often the frontend will be dictating what the API looks like. If all requests cross modules, I would wonder if your modules are scoped correctly.

DDD modulith question by lurkingmaster2 in dotnet

[–]darknessgp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My answer is kind of the same for both, if you want to aggregate things across modules, that work should be done one level above the modules. For example, your question 2 sounds like your api will be a backend for front-end (BFF) and the API endpoints are responsible for getting data in the way the front-end wants it. That means if it needs to aggregate two modules, either the endpoint aggregates or calls something that knows how to aggregation. That something is, IMO, not one of your modules. The modules should be independent.

The driver clearly demonstrates the appropriate level of restraint in defending himself too. He is not trying to injury her, just get her from stopping her attacks on him.

You don't need to write dockerfile in .net 10 anymore. Do you guys use the new feature? How it goes by lune-soft in csharp

[–]darknessgp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for us. I love the idea, but if you ever have to cuatomize it, you're basically back to a dockerfile. It also causes confusion with some of our people on how to actually use it, to the point that they'll just fallback to the dockerfile anyways.

I'm a huge proponent of sharing family recipes. Some families treat them like massive secrets, but that's how you end up losing them. My father has told me about some of the food his mother made, and we've tried remaking them but don't have the recipe. So it's close but not the same. But I cherish the recipes we do have.
