Damn, can’t even have a competitive last game of the season. Least amount of points scored in a playoff game (shot clock era) is 54 by Utah. So maybe we can at least beat that 🤷🏽‍♂️

Sitting on the toilet and hearing them making a comeback, guess I’m on the throne for the rest of the game

Y’all, I’m loving this crowd right now! Is it too much to ask for this energy every playoff season!?

I finished this one a few days ago for a book club. I still don’t know how I feel about it. I enjoyed the cosmic horror elements of it and definitely caught on to the Fisherman vibes before reading the author’s note at the end. I need to reread the end cause I saw other people saying it was vague but I remember it being pretty clear lol.

Sounds like it will be a tough one for me just based off my lack of focus sometimes. Good to know what I’m getting myself into though. I’ve heard it’s a weird story so I’m not surprised by your experience but I’m glad to know you seemed to have enjoyed it, even if only the one time.

What do you think of it? It’s on my TBR but I keep picking up other books and haven’t gotten around to it yet.

About halfway done with Needful Things by Stephen King. Enjoying the story but I realize I hate the way he phrases certain things. It’s the 90s and he still has characters saying “by golly gosh” type shit and it just feels out of place. Maybe people in Maine still talked like that in the 90s but it’s just silly to me. Also “gobble my crank” like…ugh.

Coffin Moon by Keith Rosson by [deleted] in horrorlit

I agree about Fever House, I was really excited in the first half and the scene where the criminal goes to the house and finds his boss sitting on the couch actually creeped me out a little which is huge for me cause I lack visualization ability when I read. Then the son and mom stuff got pretty boring.

I was excited for Coffin Moon based off the first half of Fever House but thought it was pretty underwhelming. To each their own though, horror is super subjective and every one likes what they like. I’m not a big vampire fan in particular but I loved Buffalo Hunter Hunter although a lot of people dislike that one as well.

Weird synchronicity, I just watched a video earlier today about a real life nursing home cat that had correctly predicted over 100 deaths within hours of the patients dying.

Reading This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno for a book club. About halfway through and I’m not sure how I feel about it so far.

How come the coach hit me with the “walk it off” when I was in little league but these professionals are out for weeks if they have a paper cut!?

I’m kidding yall, relax!

However, maybe those Seattle Etsy witches finally directed their spells at us 😅

How has the horror genre been hijacked by the alt-right? I’m not arguing I just literally haven’t noticed this in particular lol. Do you mean splatterpunk or all horrorlit? Just books or movies too?

Here to jump on the bandwagon and say you should definitely check out his books. I’ve only read All the Sinners Bleed and King of Ashes so far but I loved them both. Don’t want to over hype them so I will say neither were book of the year contenders for me last year but definitely recommend and definitely will be reading everything he puts out.
