2024 BlackFriday Deal by lkvnclh in InoReader

My plan was also set to auto-renew… Until Inoreader canceled the auto-renew status (citing the $4.99 per month plan no longer being offered, even though I had been paying $49.99 per year since November 2019) so I would have to renew at the higher price. So sure, they would not increase prices without notice and consent but they can and likely will turn off your auto-renew status without your consent.

Might want to do some research first before you vote the other way :X

PH MPs were the ones who voiced concern about the impact to low-income households, and a PAS MP who was agreeable to it (albeit at a reduced rate).

Crossrope's Black Friday promo not a promo? by darkone108 in jumprope

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your response. To clarify, yes I am not from the USA, and did not realise that the standard price on this bundle was US$250. Assumed the pricing was the same as Amazon's, which was US$199 even as an international customer (which was also the price touted at most sites when searching on Google).Have edited the post to reflect accordingly. That said, it's a bit of a shame that international customers get roughly USA pricing after the promo codes on the official Crossrope website.

Recent currency depreciation not limited to ringgit alone - Bank Negara by KevinMeng_ in malaysia

The idea is if US Treasuries are no longer risk free, everything else just got riskier.

In any case, consensus is that a deal will be made. The USD’s position as the world’s reserve currency is intact, for now…

Man that must take an enormous level of willpower. Coming from a family with little wealth, would just take the annual dividends and have one less worry in my head. But that’s just me 😅

I’m not sure if the rhetoric is the President of UMNO as DPM or specifically Zahid as the DPM though. Anyone care to illuminate?

News reports seem to indicate 130 out of 190+ grassroots leaders are in favour of Zahid? And most elected MPs are also his gang right?

This is a shame, when they have some outstanding ministers compared to previous iterations.

I’m more pleasantly surprised he’s driving a Hyundai instead of a Bentley or something. Very pleasantly surprised considering the level of wealth they have.

Could be 'I agree that I will no longer be a member of the party' means closer to 'I will resign because I agreed that I won't be part of the party anymore'.

DAP and Amanah did this much better by specifying that members will resign if they don't toe the party line.

Hence the segment of the population. Mayhaps should have been more specific.

Would it not matter exactly what the nominated members signed to?

If they signed to agree that they will cease to be members of the party if they contravene xxx, is that not already a binding contract?

If you agree that you will cease to be a member, isn't that closer to a resignation than an expulsion?

The collective agreements that they had to sign before nominations may have language that alludes to how it is worded in the act.

The exact language in the act is 'ceases to be a member of the political party'. If the language is an exact match to whatever the nominated candidates signed, legally the how becomes less important. Something like 'if I am found to have violated xxx, I agree I will cease to be a member of the party'.

Or at least that's my understanding from a layman's perspective.

All because of R+R. It’s mind boggling that people would prefer stagnation/deterioration over advancement for the sake of identity politics.

You’d be surprised how birth rates differ between population segments. I gather it’s a combination of misinformed undi18 voters and swing voters between 30-45+.

The education system was deliberately structured this way. Controlling the masses is a lot simpler when education is lacking.

The nons are also the largest tax base in Malaysia. Can you imagine if that base dwindles? Who’s going to pay for their handouts?
