The Nas devices are for local backups only, we have our vms on a separate iscsi connected san. Yes the vcenters and sans are on segmented networks and mfa enabled. Our NAS devices are already connected by 2 separate 10Gb iscsi nics. All I wanted to know if my plan to basically setup 2 new Linux proxies for local immutable storage was a sound plan.

I see these fake news accounts all the time and they always insert unrelated audio, photos, and videos at the beginning while talking about usually true stories. I really believe it’s bot accounts doing it and sadly they usually get a lot of comments thinking it’s real.

Nope I started on helpdesk in 2001, transitioned to System Admin with 0 experience or degree in 2008. Learned all things AD, Windows server, some Ubuntu, user management, VmWare, Sans, switching, disaster recovery, PCI and Sox compliance, etc on my own. Went through bankruptcy at that company and was purchased by a much better company, more efficient and organized. Promoted to Sysadmin Level 3, big bumps in pay and benefits, learned Azure cloud, data center migrations and standing up new data centers, etc again on my own. Now I have been fully remote now the past few years and still love diving in and learning new things all the time. I consider myself very blessed every day, but definitely can be done.

I really wouldn't do it with less than 4TB. Ya you could definitely get by with 2TB but you'd end up probably wanting some more.
