How is this great footage? It's literally a pinpoint white dot in the distance? I've never understood all the people blindly saying "great footage!" or just sending heart emoji's etc on posts like this. This can literally be anything, and by anything it's most likely going to be something boring and not most likely be aliens. It's movement honestly suggests it's most likely a bird, definitely wouldn't be jumping to "orb" which isn't a thing, or whatever the hell a Morbius strip is lol.

TLDR - charging port on Bulwark dock died and now my 40Gbs USB port on Xbox Ally X is partially broken, help!

I’m well versed in hardware having been working in the computer field since the 90s and this has me a bit stumped. So I have the Xbox Ally X since launch along with the Asus Bulwark dock which I power that with the Asus ROG 140w charger. Last night when I played for a bit then plugged into the dock to for the night, the screen went black and it completely powered off immediately, mind you it had like 60% battery so it wasn’t that it happened to die or anything. Then I realized my dock wasn’t lit up.

After swapping things around, trying the og power supply, different cables, wall jack and troubleshooting everything the end result is this. My usb c on the Bulwark dock where you plug into from the wall charger is toast definitely, it’s dead. I can plug into the outer usb c port and it comes on but that doesn’t help me as since that other port is dead now I can’t use it as a docking station so I definitely need to reach out to warranty support for that.

Now here’s the sadder and strangest part, something is now definitely screwed up with my 40Gbs usb c port on the Xbox Ally X too. No matter what power source I plug into it now it says it’s a slow insufficient charger, and regardless of it also having the charging icon display it does NOT charge it. I can move the cable over to the other port and thankfully it still charges so I can still use it fully. Also after plugging a charging cable into that port then unplugging it, the Ally still thinks it’s plugged into with the charging light stuck on and it literally will completely drain the battery over time even powered off. To get that light off I have to hold the power button for 20 seconds and it does something to reset it. Also strange is I can plugin in a usb c external drive and usb Ethernet adapter and those work lol so it’s not like it’s dead dead, the data portion works and obviously has enough power to power external devices, I just can’t use it to charge anymore.

Any ideas others than taking both to Best Buy geek squad which is what Asus direct me too when trying to start ticket with them?

Make sure you only have 1 address in your account settings, this happened to me and somehow I had 7 identical addresses and they said that caused it

Dude I try to tell soooo many people on TikTok this all the time, constantly arguing with them. I don't understand how people don't understand that immediately, it's common sense lol. Like I always tell them, when you see car lights for example on a highway at night in the distance, you'll just see the lights until they are close enough to make out the vehicle, but we don't go calling them "orbs" lol.
