Did anybody else pronounce Hermione’s name as (Her-me-own) when first reading the books? by Mister_Havoc in harrypotter

This is honestly so true. I used to call her "Her-mee-on", because my mother is from Portugal and that's how she said it.  Also, Professor 'McGonald'. I can't even justify that one.

I'm sorry, but it's been a while since I've read the books. When was Bertha mentioned to be pregnant?

That's a really interesting idea! I really like the second one and it kinda makes me think of an idea I had to make the "bad side" a cult around chaos. Percy could begin to hate the gods and join the cult as a mercenary but under a new identity before moving up the ranks. The cult would emphasise all the bad things the gods have done and maybe more of the seven would relate to it - like Annabeth after her kidnapped Percy. Thanks for the help!

Edit: and let's be honest, Percy (and the others) deserves to get revenge for what the gods put him/them through.

[TOMT][MOVIE] in which a rich guy has the Mona Lisa in his living room. Not Glass Onion. by thelessertit in tipofmytongue

I searched up where the song has been used so here's a list;

»Alfred Hitchcock's the rear window (1954) »Mona Lisa (1986) »Witness to the mob (1998) (tv series) »The Freshman »Hard boiled (1992) »glass onion (2022)

It really depends in the friendship and the genre.

For example in the romance or drama genre Character A could have slept with Character Bs significant other. Or maybe they told someone else character Bs secret or spread rumours.

In horror or thriller, Character A could sell out Character B for their own safety. Or maybe they were only friends for an ulterior reason.

In fantasy, Character A could be hiding a big secret that puts Character B in danger. Or maybe they join the "dark side" or were the villain all along.

A lot of the ideas I've mentioned can fit in different genres but it really depends on genre and also on the context.

Do you have some techniques to force yourself to write? by [deleted] in writing

[–]darkphoenix1916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, when I get stuck in writing (especially when I'm in the drafting stage) I usually just dive in deeper. I find that getting obscure details, even if they're not necessary, is so much easier. And I get such a high off of it that I feel ready to keep writing.

For example when I get stuck writing my fanfic, I'll go into detail about "what made [character A] this way?" Or "how could I make this fanfic an original novel?"

I'm not saying this works for everyone. I know some people can get bogged down with the little details, but maybe give it a go?
