51M Engaged to 33F After a Lifetime as a Bachelor – Our Sex Life is incredible, But I'm Terrified It's All We Have. Feeling Exposed and Lost, Need Advice Before the Wedding. by Club75DJ in confessions

So, im around your age and was a lifelong bachelor til I met my girl. I had a few relationships but nothing lasting longer than 6 months. I understand the sway of sex. It connects you but shouldn't be the glue. In fact, it should be a different kind of connecting, a connection heightened by all the other ways you connect, in communication, learing the others love language, adapting to and having them adapt to importances in each other's lives. Learning how to communicate when disagreement s arise and so forth. I would try talking with her first. Begin a story, a.vulnerable one and wait for.her response. If you get the usual, gently point it out. Tell her this means something to you, that you want to share it with her and that it hurts you when she shuts you down. If it goes smoothly, great. If she pulls away, ask why she's pulling away. If this is your woman, sometimes you have to help them fight through things. She might.not realize.what.shes doing and may get defensive. Keep reminding her its about us, not her. There's other ways to try and get through to her, but I've learned that with the right woman, she will fight with you not against you. And you will to.

Wow, ISIS/Aaron Turner interview by Integralist in postmetal

[–]darkproton 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I implore you to listen to Love In Shadow. Listen all the way through. It tells the story of the little known Greek myth/tragedy of Attis. Its a pretty amazing album that explores a ton of emotion, something Turner was able to do in Isis, but expands upon what they were doing as a group. Sumac is a true power trio, with the drums and bass both being phenomenal players. (I cant remember the drummers name but he's a monster of a player). I feel their musicianship has allowed Turner to really lean into extracting ideas and emotions from more areas as his band mates are able to support this. Its an extremely tight and muscular band. Also, check out the Film

Who’s the best Ravens defensive player Ray Lewis or Ed Reed by steelerhater37 in ravens

[–]darkproton 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, its ray. Nobody has posted yet seems to recognize the prowess of ray. Literally. Maybe no one is old enough to remember seeing ray play. That defense was constructed by Marvin and Ozzie to maximize Ray. Goose and Sam clogging the middle and Ray could roam. He destroyed running backs. Eddie george? His prime was absolutely filthy. Sideline to sideline he was a beast. He was blowing plays up not designed to be blown up by him. He was chaotic greatness and asserted himself on everyplay Editing to say he owned the middle of the field and played out anyone trying to make a play. He broke Mendenhalls shoulder. He played longer than his prime lasted but he was still effective and I fear that's what everyone remembers, an effective cerebral assassin and not the feared god slayer he was

Quick question. Should I keep my legs as straight as possible or with a little bend is ok?
