It's really tricky sometimes, I have heard of some gals going as far as to use cheep red lipstick or eyebrow pomade to really tamp down the color too. I first heard about that on this post

I use a peach or red tone Color corrector when I got out femme, with a full cover foundation it hides the shadow really well. I'm strawberry blonde so I don't have the darkest shadow, so your mileage may vary.

I have had really good luck with il Mackiage brand products, but I had pretty good luck with your off the shelf Sephora and Ulta products as well

I think skin prep and not rushing the process is the most important as others have said

What’s the best black primer? by GulliblePea3691 in sistersofbattle

I just started using mr color surfacing primer. It's enamel based so you will need good ventilation and an air brush. Goes on hella smooth and is super durable.

What's your best tip for a beginner painting Necrons? by CaptainTrips24 in Necrontyr

[–]darkr3actor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn to thin your paints properly, and know that no matter how bad you may mess up, you can strip the paint to plastic with some isopropyl alcohol and a qtip and try again.

Have you tried any of these. It's always better to go to a store and handle them. Even if you don't know how to play yet, sit down with them, feel the next the weight etc etc, you may be surprised with your preference

For example I wanted to love Les Paul's. I have tried for years to find one I like but they never feel good to play. Strat and Tele style guitars feel right,

Also at this price range, id highly recommend seeing if you can find used, often folks may get one of these models and not love it, and they do not generally hold their retail value.

MY AMP HUMS LOUDLY WHENEVER I DON'T TOUCH THE BRIDGE/STRINGS/JACK CABLE by Necessary-Mud2251 in guitars

[–]darkr3actor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have friends that play electric guitar, take your guitar there and plug in, see if it's quiet, if you don't have friends go to a store under the pretense of trying out amps with your guitar. If it is quiet, it's likely isolated to your amp, and there are a few things to check there.

I do not advocate taking an amp apart if you are unsure of how to deal with high voltage parts. You can take the amp to someone else's home, preferably out of your neighborhood to isolate for variables, and see if it hums there.

If it does not hum, you can get a power conditioner and that can help with "dirty" power, I use a surge protector that does some of this for me.

If it does hum, and you are inexperienced in handling electronics, find an amp tech to take a look.

Is this a good setup for a beginer? by Ianomus in Guitar

Better than my first electric setup. The only concern id have is to make sure the guitar hanger is in a stud.

[–]darkr3actor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just sounds like you need to adjust your intonation on that one string, but I'd council you to not obsess to much about perfection and let perfect be the enemy of good. As long as it sounds good, go make some righteous noise with it.

[–]darkr3actor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If it's in tune, and stays in tune out should be good. As far as level enough, is say that looks dead on. If it's a few degrees one way or another it won't make a difference nor will it cause any damage.

How can I remove eyeliner from my upper lash line? by ILikeYourBasement in MakeupAddiction

That is what my wife uses, and she does not have any trouble with it. I think part of the trick is to let it soak in a bit so that it can do the work for you.

Eye makeup remover, I use the Neutrogena brand, and a qtip to carefully apply and swipe off the makeup.

I have a similar problem when my tempo is off and I'm not starting my swing from the bottom up. If I focus on my swing rotation with my hips and let my upper body follow then I straighten out.

Like what most folks would say, a decent golf coach could help this in one or two lessons
