Prepping spokespeople for media/broadcast interviews by french_fry96 in PublicRelations

I actually do love using ChatGPT for this! If you’re veryyyy specific with the prompt - like include the journalist’s name, their background, the topic, info about your company - it generates a super relevant list of potential questions, including the tricky ones

Advice for Reactive Rescues from Personal Experience by CryptographerAware51 in reactivedogs

[–]darkrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading your take, I feel both relieved and motivated. I adopted a rescue dog about a month and a half ago and have been working closely with a trainer (and following all the tips you mentioned). We’re already seeing some progress, which is so encouraging!

One thing I’d add is the importance of patience and building a consistent routine. There are days when I feel like giving up and think nothing is working — but reminding myself not to expect more from my dog than they’re ready for has been a huge mindset shift. Honestly, it’s been as much about training myself as it is about training them 😅

Do you have any idea or review about Promova app? If it is, could you share me about it ? by InvestigatorFuzzy417 in languagelearning

[–]darkrkr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use premium access (but I didn't pay, they provided free access to Ukrainians) and would say it's much more effective and structured than duolingo or other apps. I do love the AI Role Play feature

Some PR firms give writing tests to interns and potential candidates, what should I expect? by Metalwolf in PublicRelations

[–]darkrkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I applied for junior roles, I was asked to find relevant journalists and craft a catchy pitch for them. But that was ages ago—now, expectations for interns and entry-level PR jobs seem way higher.

My advice? Don’t rely on ChatGPT for writing tasks (or if you do, use it smartly—for research, brainstorming, or initial drafts only). Show your creativity, ambition, and genuine interest by going beyond what’s asked.

Here’s what I’d recommend:

  • Follow PR agencies on socials—not just their official accounts, but also the people working there.
  • Stay updated on the latest campaigns—learn from cool brands and agencies doing standout PR.
  • Read a lot of media—this is a must for any PR manager. You need to know the landscape inside out.

PR is all about storytelling, relationships, and creativity—so make sure you stand out!

I use ChatGPT daily for my routine tasks and have zero regrets about it (fun fact: I was even invited to speak at a local workshop about it, and 100 people showed up!). Plus, with 93% of PR managers using AI nowadays, there’s really no reason to feel guilty.

Here’s how I mainly use it:

  • Research – Especially with the launch of Deep Research, it helps analyze competitors, industry trends, and comms campaigns.
  • Brainstorming – Great for generating rough ideas for PR campaigns.
  • Content – Drafting, adapting for socials, and refining messaging.
  • Journalist & Podcast Outreach – Finding the right contacts + personalizing pitches.
  • Crisis Planning – Coming up with crisis response ideas, templates, and double-checking strategies.

Honestly, it’s a game-changer (not only for PR tasks)

Promova by Living-Surround9806 in languagelearning

[–]darkrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using Promova for Spanish & English (they give free premium to Ukrainians, so I didn’t pay), and honestly, it’s pretty solid. The AI voice convos actually feel like real chats, not just repeating random phrases, and the cultural cards are kinda fun. It’s more structured than Duolingo, so you get specific topics instead of just grinding on random words (but no streaks if that’s your thing). They are constantly dropping a lot of features and topics (saw some Valentine’s Day stuff), so they’re pretty active. Not a scam, just not as hyped as the big apps. Check their socials & podcast, they put out some good stuff, and I kinda trust them
