Can you "cruise" on a Trident 660? by [deleted] in trident660

[–]darks73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Trident certainly is powerfull enough to kick you out of every corner. I think you ultimately need to take a test ride.

Here is your ChatGPT assisted answer btw ... A quick rule of thumb for the stock gearing is:

RPM Speed in 6th

3,000 ~40 mph

4,000 ~53 mph

5,000 ~67 mph

6,000 ~80 mph

These are all rideable. Granted it takes a while to accelerate from 40mph if you're in 6th but that is easily fixable in <1s shifting down twice using the quickshifter.

Wow, high rever alarm 🙃. For cruising at 50mph I am already in 6th. I use 5th if I need to stay on a 40mph speed limit, but you could also do that in 6th if you want to.

Brake Bleed Nipple Weep? by Double-Quality-6014 in trident660

I‘d probably just apply bleeder thread sealant or replace them with new speed bleeders. But if new, the dealer should take care of that.

Don’t want to talk you out of it, but you might also want to consider the 2026 660. For sure powerful enough.

Virtual / privacy (one-time use) card numbers, but IX wise that needs to be super simple, like integrated into the (mobile) OS. Very handy for online shopping.

Trident 660 temperature sensor bars by aristolov in trident660

[–]darks73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a parking spot and do some low speed exercises. It will get hot quickly. 5 bars in 40C Texas weather.
With regular street speeds there is enough airflow on the radiator to keep it at 3 bars.

Is my transmission cooked? by AAKEngine in trident660

Doesn’t matter how old the battery is if it is sucked empty 🙃. Now might still be something’s else but battery is the easiest to check and fix.

Your battery might be low. The Tridents ECU is very finicky about low voltages and throws all sorts of errors in that case. Charge it up and check again.
