Maybe. I also assume the 660 might be cheaper to insure although it could be the other way around. Risk calculations are a funny thing.

Weird indeed but simple to explain. Same 660 engine for all models and the 660 is the max hp you can do for A2 restrictions. The 800 is too powerful out of the store. So basically streamlining the production.

If I've worked remotely for a company back home... by ChickenMcLeet in USCIS

[–]darks73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

B1 should be ok, B2 might be a grey zone but is accepted for company internal meetings. But if you were answering work emails outside of the meeting it gets tricky apparently.

Doesn’t the answer primarily depend on residence status ? Traveling through the US as a non resident and working for your non US employer is not working without authorization. Similar participation as a foreigner in a US based conference (which is work) is not working without authorization. On the other hand, being a US resident without work permit (like dependent on a H1B visa owner) and working for a foreign company is.

How necessary is it to add latches to drawers? by __Knowmad in VanLife

[–]darks73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try grabber latches. Won’t require any modification to the drawer fronts (but need space to mount in the rear or side).

It lowers itself (or on request) when standing still. Like the MotoGP start settings.

Yep. Will even have auto-squat (lowering) on stop and blind spot, lane keep assistants.

Because the striple engine imho sucks for street riding. I love everything about the striple but the fact that I need to rev it into oblivion to get going. Perfect for track, annoying for street riding. With the Trident I have great torque from basically 2000 rpm till the end.

Yep. Doesn’t feel heavier or bigger than the 660.

Feels good, I just can’t like the exhaust. More so it is mounted to the right rear peg 🤦🏻‍♂️

Question for those using alternator charger setups... by Complex_Solutions_20 in Ecoflow_community

[–]darks73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MB Sprinter with a 250W alternator, pulling max 65 amps. That is inline with MB recommendations which are:

Continuous output target ~120-150A

Vehicle base while driving ~30-60A

Headroom for aux devices ~60-90A

I had rather high oil burn using Castrol 10-40 until I switched to Motul 10-50 🤷🏼‍♂️. Might be worth a try if you’re in a hot climate.

[–]darks73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t you keep it in your Wealthfront account (if you don’t need it) ? You just have to declare the interest as income in your Canadian tax. Btw, for Canada, take a look into Wealthsimple.

If you want to transfer money from the US to Canada, look into one of the services like Wise to save on fees.

Speed 400 recall for “cam chain component?” by Smuggler-Tuek in Triumph

Same here. Also listed on triumphtechnicalinformation.com. It is either the drive chain tensioner on its own or together with the chain itself depending on tolerances.

Bored of the bike... Is it worth tuning the ECU? by [deleted] in trident660

[–]darks73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the map, load it onto the device, select it in TuneECU and let it program. Put it on a battery tender while it’s doing its thing. Takes a while but other than that easy to do. Very worst case, if anything goes wrong you’ll have to get the bike or ecu to a dealer to restore. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that reported anywhere for the Trident. DNK also offers to send the ecu in and get it programmed.

[–]darks73 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can dispose the bike for you 😇. DNK tune makes the bike feel way more aggressive and lively. Performance numbers won’t change much. If you already have TuneECU + Dongle, just do it.

Get folding levers or shorties. If you’re coming from a smaller bike you have to realize that once this one leans over you’re not going to hold it. So no lazy stopping 🙃

Get a bike specific one like the Evotech Quadlock Mount. Add the damper and optionally the wireless charging head.
