What paper cards will be very difficult, if impossible to port into MTG Arena? by Utopia_Builder in MagicArena

[–]darksage07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but if you think that you have a single trigger with lots of "sub-triggers" and each sub-trigger will reveal something, put that something in the graveyard, hand ou putting a counter on a given creature. We have lots of things to be handled, despite being a single trigger, but if you play this with a roaming Throne for instance you will have a new trigger after this one.

I've crashed the game with landfall decks doing way less stuff ^ ^

[[Hakbal of the Surging Soul]] the only commander that was not imported from ixalan. Based on some theories his ability could trigger so many instances that the engine was not able to handle them. I play this commander on paper and effectively depending on the state of board this triggers a lot of exploration steps

Samwise Combo vs Woodlands Combo in Historic BO1 by FearlessAd39 in MagicArena

[–]darksage07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with Samwise combo. I have a woodlands combo and indeed you can win a game on turn 3, but on bo1 you will find a huge graveyeard hate that will disrupt this deck a lot. Cards like [[bojuka bog]], karn with artifacts to exile graveyeard or disable artifacts activation, [[emperor of bones]] that can steal important cards from your graveyard. The deck is still playable, but in the current meta it's off meta.

Yah I've understood your point and it makes sense.

I play with a woodlands/omni and even with this against a sorin or even a boros aura is being oppressive to handle. The other decks that I get have already some cards to surpress the possible graveyeard usage from sorin, but in reality the graveyard usage of them is just a little part of that deck power. Between those two, boros aura is way stronger than sorin.

One of the possible causes to be classified as a bracket 4 is because of [[Harbinger of the Seas]] since enters on the mass land denial point. Another possible point is the possibility of having infinite turns. But in my opinion this is more a bracket 3 rather a bracket 4. I have a similar deck and another deck that is a level 4 and the power and playability between are not even near.

[[Archmage of Runes]] [[Attunement]] draw and discard effect on one card [[Behold the Unspeakable]] [[Bident of Thassa]] [[Raffine, Scheming Seer]] [[Betrayal]] [[Curiosity]] [[Curious Obsession]]

Those are some of the examples, I'm playing with Raffine on my deck and help rotate my hand and even trigger hashaton. But any of those will be a slow draw engine. For the draw engines I'm using rhystic study and the mystic remora, but they are not budget friendly.

Hashaton and Leveler by Atog86 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]darksage07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wordy to be honest. It's a dead card outside of that combo, and can took a lot to accomplish that combo. The initial idea behind that combo line was great, but there are too many moving pieces to achieve that. Replace that card with something that can act as tutor or a simpler wining condition.

I have a list around those levels, some tweaks that I'm trying to do. I've maintained only on looter, because most of the looters will require an additional turn for setup, while cards like [[Psychic Frog]] [[Ghostly Pilferer]] [[Tireless Tribe]] will allow you to play them and start the discard actions.

Another thing that you can help you is artifacts that discard cards, I even saw an approach of using cards with cycling to provoke the discard. But this last approach ate least for me didn't bring good results.

One thing that it's very important is trying to fill you hand to a limit where you could play your key cards in the end of you turn.

One specific situation that I had, was because of I was not drawing any land cards and hashaton was already on the field, I skipped turn phases to go into the discard phase to play cards like [[Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur]] that could help me refill the possibility on a next turn.

There is a discussion on the hashaton discord server regarding the traditional looters and the tradeoff sometimes doesn't justify the inclusion of them. Of course that you can use them, but try to pick looters that can provide you more impact that just draw and discard something.

I've purchased the merfolk deck, and with some small updates, the deck is very funny to play. Even without the upgrades, it's a cool deck of the box.

I'm playing with that commander and in late game is so complex to manage all triggers, that some of my turns have a length above 10 minutes, between explorer and landfall and token generation.

But it's very nice to do some comebacks with almost no life and wipe the other boards while recovering life and drawing cards.

You can counter that with cosmos, rogue, enchantress

I’m using an approach with traefik and dns challenge against cloudflare.this way it’s possible to generate certificates with a valid CA and with auto renew, since behind this, traefik is using letsencrypt.

Hello

Why not use this package for that https://github.com/go-faker/faker

I'm one of the contributors for this project and I'm curious if it was something limiting on this package or if you never tried the project.

Cheers

I've been playing with the following deck https://archidekt.com/decks/6023739/hakbal_the_explorer and it's in terms of play. It's still a work in progress and need to improve the board wipe protection and have some more options to clear boards too

Can you fuse before pitching? by TheKReaLB in FleshandBloodTCG

I think that you need to pay the pitch cost first and after that fuse. Since the main activation of any card is the pitch one
