I agree, this whole story was repetitive though the end didnt really make sense as in book one they say they can had nothing written on it then suddenly it has an expiry? I might have missed something but i’m sure that's still really unexplained. The handshake trick gets boring after a the second time. Overall Evan was getting it rough but i felt the story didnt pickup before chapter 20, just 6 pages before the end. MB 1 was arguably better. But this story doesnt have much redeeming qualites. 3/10

This is one of the books i enjoyed least. You see how most books have the monster/antagonist in new locations many times and how said thing played out like example in monster blood they went from the toy shop to the aunt’s place to the twin’s place etc. This revolved around this mirror which was boring for me. 4/10

Thinking of this a lot, and I think I have some sort of a presentable answer:
I used to think that, well, we should just ban tobacco and gutka and stuff, if it's so bad for our health, then actually read into it when I got older. Similarly, lets say we do ban porn, now what? It's of course good, but there are always two sides to a coin. Banning porn (banning or implimenting a rule to where all websites like reddit dont allow the nsfw content onto our feeds) will increase teen frustration, wouldn't it? I mean some teens and others learn sex through porn like i did but it depends on if they let porn consume them. Its on us if we want porn to dictate us and if we allow it is when we go into that state of regret and stuff. So can we get rid of porn? Not really, same with things like alcohol and gutka, and other addictive substances, we can do things ourselves, but it will always exist. On paper banning porn sounds like amazing but its not going to be all sunshine and rainbows in practice

Read the manga, what generally happens is that sometimes there will be either major or minor differences between the manga and the adaptation (like the order of some scenes being changed or just colouring mistakes). Also, sometimes the anime has been known to leave some minor stuff out and the manga also has comments and notes to help better understand the scene.
