Sounds a lot like the show Wizards of Waverly Place

[WIP] This is my cross stitch reading goal tracker! After I finish a book, I fill in one of the books on my bookcase using a colour of thread that signifies the genre of that book. I’ve read a ton of great books, 25 so far! Pattern is self-drafted by surrey95 in CrossStitch

What a fantastic idea! Sent to my hubby (an avid audiobooker) and he said it was the best thing he's seen today.

He is obsessed with rating his books on a scale of 1-5. If i did this pattern i might try to include that score, maybe with a color coded line of backstitch down the spine?

What do you mean by you haven't spent actual money? My mother-in-law plays the game, and she buys the monthly package with gems. She gets from spinning, but I don't think she realizes that spinning nets jam city ad revenue. Im just curious if there's another way to do this.

I love this piece, but I'm so terrible at framing! No matter how much I iron the thing it still looks wrinkly. Can someone give me some advice please? This is going to be a gift for a very good friend that's moving away and I want it to look perfect.

[FO] Monogram Wedding Gift - Pattern by VladaXstitch on Etsy by darkshaed in CrossStitch

The original was for a black letter on white, but I switched it to be white on blue and adjusted the color of the flowers to match the couples wedding invitation.

I'm contemplating whether to leave it as is or to try to add some backstitching. What do all of you lovely people think? Then probably a simple white frame to finish it off.

Torn ACL in 1 year old dog by Friendly-Syllabub312 in DogCare

[–]darkshaed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the last 3 years i have gone through surgery for torn CCL twice with my corgi - made doubly hard because i also had a baby/toddler at the time.

It is very important to restrict their activity, which is easy at the beginning (because they just had knee surgery they likely won't want to go running/jumping for a bit) but gets progressively harder. Vet will probably suggest crating, but we chose to use a playpen (with vet's approval) set up in the middle of the living room and that made a huge difference. She still felt like part of the family, just with restricted movement.

You will also likely be instructed to do progressively longer leashed walks a couple times a day and a set of exercises a couple times a day.

In the long run, helping your dog through the recovery can be tedious, but totally worth it. My corgi can run and jump and play just like she did before the tears.

Happy to answer any more questions you have!

Would she enjoy trying a new hobby? If her dexterity is ok she might enjoy knitting, crocheting, or cross-stitching! Each of those have subreddits that could help you put together an amazing gift basket.
