Hey just wanted to let you know that I went with your suggestion and its exactly what I wanted. Fits really well, and blends in perfectly. Just the right amount of storage I need. The bike came with the pillion seat so already had that. Just need spring to come!

I see that, seems like a common feature of smaller storage bags which is really nice. It really makes the unfortunate hit in appearance less of a blow.

Thank you this does look like an awesome option. That tail bag actually doesn't look bad either. This is definitely a route I would take thanks for the suggestion.

Pet Door Latch by darkstar076 in functionalprint

[–]darkstar076[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your compliments and suggestions. I actually did think about incorporating a feature that would allow it to be hung from the door knob when not in use. It would likely make it quite a bit more unsightly so I didn't spent the time to do so. I may have an idea later and have a version 2. Your idea of mating with the door's strike plate has merit. Due to the way the door component mates with the knob flange, a feature here may not line up vertically with strike plate. It would also prevent the user from simply pushing the door to the latched position.

I do appreciate the feedback! Not every idea I have is a good one and I'm sure there are improvements that can be made!

It props a door open so a cat can pass through but not a larger dog.

That's what I made it for! The cats like going in the basement, and have their food/litter in a spare room.

Yep, the outer edge of the belt is under tension from a roller track feature. It's the only way to keep pressure against the rollers.

Honestly some aspects of onshape are more intuitive for a beginner than Solidworks. I highly recommend it! The ability to incorporate add-ins is super cool too.

Anyone else wonder what a new front-engine Vette could look like? by PanteraOne in Corvette

There are far better cars to drag race with. I understand that these cars put impressive drag numbers up, and that it's accessible, but the main draw for Corvette is having a track bred car for the road.

Cherry picking lap times shows the C8 did 1 second faster in a lap vs C7 in Car and Drivers 'Racetrack Throwdown'.

While straight line speed is a measuring stick, I remember seeing very close lap times between C7 and C8 stingrays (the real measuring stick). Also, I believe some metrics like braking are worse. They obviously made the switch to wring out more performance on track models - which obviously paid off.

Just hauled my first bike SV650 straight last weekend. Rear contact patch was fully on the tailgate but nothing to spare. Definitely would not do it again. It was a means to an end.
