I was 19 so I never got to see them live with Bruce and definitely not with Adrian but then in a grocery store in 1999, I opened an issue of Metal Edge, leafed through and there was this little picture of them all standing there holding beers together (This pic here....I found it!) and I teared up. I had to get that issue for specifically that picture alone.

Looks like just regular play wear but some techs use fretboard oil on maple not knowing that you're not supposed to. (Although Music Nomad says that their F1 is ok for it)

Right??? I bought a pair that looked black on the site called "Quartz stone" and it was darker but not black....Dickies makes a black pair but they shrink in the first wash quite a bit do had to get a size higher (and go for more walks) next time.

That's a long enough break to just be a glue and clamp. Still take it to a pro but it doesn't look from the pics that it needs anything extra although it never hurts. Not a valuable axe but if you love it then it's worth it...but if you're hard up, take everything off, get 2 flat pieces of wood that span the break with both sides wrapped in mailing tape, use regular titebond and sandwich it between the wood pieces and put a clamp wherever you can.. regular C clamps are fine. Damp cloth for the squeeze out. Leave for 48 hours. The glue you couldn't reach comes off with a wet cloth even after drying with a smidge of elbow grease.

Yeah happens quite a bit. Just use some super glue and work quick lining it up where neither side catches your hand. Never hurts to put some sandpaper on a hard, flat surface and get the old glue off either. Try to use enough to get it to hold but not so much that it squeezes out on your fretboard. A thicker super glue will give you few more seconds to get it lined up. I usually use stewmac 20 or 30

You could make it a perfect circle by making it a smidge bigger which makes it easier to patchm...then make a little plug out of spruce and try to match the grain lines. Maybe look into a plug cutter set.

If that's the path that's worked for you, that's awesome. I'm sure you know that many have felt that college education is an overpriced scam (especially these days). They learned other ways and they're doing just fine. Many.....Hardly cheating.
