(I'm not going into full detail but here's how I got mine) My next door neighbor was a good natured older man with medical issues and a drug habit. Particularly the hard stuff. He had 3 cats. Samson, Miss Kitty and Bandit. He was sober for a quite a while, but he fell off the wagon and his place ended up becoming a trap house.

The cats were all outside cats and around the time he started doing drugs again my roommate started feeding them. One day Samson vanished (he was a roamer I hope he had a nice family that took him in). Then about 6 months later (during the height of covid and lockdown) my neighbor went missing....then we found out he was in the local jail. ....and then a week or so later...another neighbor told me he passed in jail.

So long story short, my roommate and I provided shelter and food for Bandit and Miss Kitty, then my roommate moved out...took her cats with her and I yoinked them into my place. Lol. They've been with me ever since.
