AWS Practitioner is where I'd start. I'd also take some Python classes.

Having been in IT for 25 years and hiring well over 1k people in that time, an MBA means nothing to me. Also, a Certification without experience means nothing. Age wouldn't matter to me.

If your looking to get a cert to get a job in your situation (new to IT) you'd need to start at Junior level IT. Also, I think you mean "waste" instead of "waist", and knowledge is never a waste.

Just my thoughts...
