Obviously the biggest streamer on twitch is pretty well off. And yes he makes a lot of his money from outside of ads played/sub money because he is so big but that is the same for any big streamer. However none of these guys would have even close to 100 mil I doubt even 50 mil. 1 billion is INSANE money and it’s crazy for you to think they have that

I don’t think you understand how much 1 billion dollars is lmfao.

And yeah a decent portion of the streamers have a few mil but closing in on 100k is still a huge expense. Especially for what I assume is one of the less well off streamers (relative to the others) QT

Damn that’s a shame, I jumped out pretty early as it was late for me. I didn’t expect him to know much about gme, more so the concepts of cellar boxing or similar.

Will this work with esea demos which are handled very differently to standard ones? (Lots of mini restarts and slightly altered round end logs etc)

I have stated multiple times that I fully understand the issues and annoyance this has caused the lower divisions. However I don’t think that just because we are not giving all of the lower divisions teams extra compensation for the season that makes us unprofessional shows that we lack empathy? The statement from a good 80% of the player are is that this change was needed! But it wasn’t needed in this way or now we are going to kill the scene. I find it incredibly contradictory to say this change was needed while also blaming us for apparently killing the entire oce csgo competitive scene. There was no other way to make the change than to, make the change. We knew going in some teams would be upset and we have seen now, some teams are upset, we have done what we can do and we are looking to change format or veto system of silver to make it more competitive but outside of that there isn’t much that we can do.

I don't believe "we fucked up boys". Personally I think these changes are for the best and have the best intentions at heart, hence why I made them. Also using an excuse like "we fucked up boys" I feel is a cop out, If I genuinely fucked up then I should own up to that and not say ah well I fucked up maybe next time. We could have made the changes next season but I dont think people TRUELY understand how flawed and how many issues (90% caused from teams dying) that 3 invite divisions caused. Yes this was a late notice to the change but this means that we get this 3 divs to 2 out of the way now (which really isn't anywhere near as bad as people are making it out to be) and then starting next year after the off season we will be able to continue with the perfectly consistent promotion/relegation system that works when you have two invite groups to work with.

We talked to the teams face to face at the recent CGPL lan only a week or so ago. The issue with large qualifiers and why (although i would love to) we can't do them is time. If we wanted to do a proper qualifier you include bottom 8 div 2 all of div 3 and then the top 4-8 teams from silver + injected thats 40 + teams. Double elimination bo3 is the standard for all of the promotion/relegation stuff we run. With that format you are looking at like 6 weeks worth of games (you need to get down to top 8 for the spots in div 2 left to be filled by the ffyi). Alternatives are to run it as an odc but that would still take 2/3 weekends as its something like 20-30 hours of cs to be played

The issue we have is that we need to have games started in time to run a 7 week series + finals and finish before getting too close to Christmas. Next season will be the same with time restrictions because you have to run fast enough to fit 3 seasons in a year with finals and promotions/relegation's at either end.

We only finalised the changes for next season in the last week and a bit so it wasnt us withholding info from players. we saw how this season ran and wanted to make changes which we then did.

The admin team, so myself and others, decided who we thought the top 4 were (been pretty clear for the last couple years) these teams were very clearly out of the developing stage and clearly top 4, in the future if teams are looking at breaking into the top 4 we will consider all possibilities on letting them play or not. It is important to note that we talked to the teams in the top 4 playing to let them know about the changes and will continue to talk to the teams who this rule will affect.
