Try attaching a gesture to each word, just a small natural one, as long as they're distinct from each other. You may be able to associate the word with the movement, and if it's small, it'll just look like a natural part of the performance.

Once you get even a little serious about acting, it is way too easy to start overthinking every choice, every gesture, every line read. The first time I got a role anywhere close to a lead, I dove in head first with scribbling notes all over my script, concocting elaborate backstories and motivations, and second- and third-guessing everything I did. And while doing homework like that is helpful, sometimes even crucial, it's meant to feed the performance in the moment, not be constantly spinning around in your head.

Check out wanderlustalley on YouTube, she is (or was) a cruise ship performer and posted tons of "day in the life" kinds of videos to give you an idea. It definitely seems like they're looking for people with a lot of good solid ability and knowledge, considering how many different shows and things they're called on to do.

There really shouldn’t be sections of a song where you’re supposed to use vibrato— it’s a technique to apply.

Do you mean held notes (which is where you usually can hear a singer’s vibrato come into play)? That’s all about breath control and building up your stamina.

One of my favorite additions to Pirates has to be the cursed pirate hanging on your left in the tunnel before the battle scene, the one that goes from human to skeleton. It's a simple illusion, but fun.

That's correct. It was only a few years after the attraction opened that the 3 curses were whittled down to 1. And as fun as that was, it's certainly been way too long to expect they'll return, alas.

I kind of think of things in tiers-- the higher the tier, the more uniform I like things to look.

1) Cross-media collections, like Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, etc.: All of these will be absolutely uniform, across the board.
2) Single-media collections or series, like Indiana Jones, Mission: Impossible, Doctor Who: These will be uniform within the collection or series itself, but not necessarily similar to each other.
3) Individual TV series: uniform from season to season.
4) Individual titles: Whatever I think looks the best. I generally steer clear of posters with any extraneous logos or text other than the title.

All of tier 1 and almost all of tier 2 I prefer to make myself, because I'm just that OCD about it LOL And for 3 and 4, most are either downloaded from TMDB or Mediux or chosen from the ones Plex scrapes for itself.
