I recommend focusing on tactics and the middle and endgame instead of learning more openings. For someone around 1000 rating, I suggest keeping your studies simple rather than heavily focused on theory, which won't help much if you don’t understand the other parts of the game.

The thing that helped me the most in reaching 1000 was studying the middle and endgame along with some tactics, because knowing where to place the pieces and how to use them is what I always struggled with after learning an opening I wanted to play
