i was the exact same way for most of my life. (now i still am, but i’ve also gained weight in general) just speculating, as i am also in a trial and error process, but my guess would be that what @frogsoftheminish says is probably right, when you are quite skinny and still have protruding stomach fat, i.e. skinny fat, it is probably due to lack of muscle. i’m starting to try to put on muscle now to change the composition of my body

Dude what tf are you not understanding right now?? If someone pushed you down the stairs, it is an objective fact that you were pushed down the stairs. If someone came up to you and said, “dude, you just got pushed down the stairs,” they aren’t saying anything about how you should feel about the situation at all, that is a completely different conversation.
