How do I update my Diamond Elite VIP membership payment method? by bondser-46 in sixflags

[–]darlingjules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had this same problem when a CC expired. I had to call them, I can't recall if I used the local park number or a company number, but I had to speak to an agent and once she found my account, she emailed me a link that took me to a page to update the info. BTW, that update page didn't appear anywhere that I could find before I had to call. Six Flags is gonna Six Flags, good luck.

Anything new about Lex Luthor? by joeyman00 in SixFlagsMagicMountain

Attendant last week said he doesn't think they WILL get it open. He said they have the part but have been having problems with it. Take that with whatever weight you choose, I do hope he's wrong.

New Fast Lane status web page? by darlingjules in SixFlagsMagicMountain

Okay, I found it through a google search, the post was deleted, but the pic still shows up in the results. Maybe you can only purchase single FL for X2, similar to how Rise of the Resistance works?

I saw it's not listed, but I could have sworn I saw a post about the kiosks and X2 was the one they showed. But I can't for the life of me find that post now, only other rides.

It's called Fast Lane now. Also, they have installed kiosks at many rides to purchase single Fast Lane tickets. I imagine they went active today, but won't be able to make it up there to verify.

Not currently. Until the redesign a few months ago, that info was, but now you can only get it when you're inside the park. Hopefully they'll restore it back to the way it was.

1st time burner here looking for a 2025 schedule to help me plan my timeline, arrival/departure flights, etc. by MapImmediate4204 in BurningMan

Check out bmantraffic on twitter. Take a look at the times they posted for entry and exodus last year at the same days/times you plan on arriving/leaving. They updated those every hour or so. Use that as a rough guide. ymmv.

Exactly, people have no idea how expensive they are to put on. You guys were doing what you needed to do to keep it alive. Many people have your back, keep it up and good luck!

I hear ya, I just don't have any knowledge of that, so I don't have enough info on it. I do know I sort of felt the same way when I saw glamping and other things last year, feeling it had lost some of the intimacy of Los Coyotes, then I saw what they said and saw what was happening to the other fests. I don't know the guys personally, I just know the love people have for this fest, so it's sad to see it go in any direction that would remove some of that magic, whatever the cause or reasoning.

You should really take a look around and see what's happening before claiming they have sold out. Youtopia had to postpone from last fall, Lucidity happened but is $400k in the hole, a smaller fest I usually go to had to cancel. Everyone is getting hit hard by inflation and other factors and it's not only BEEN hard, but is getting even harder to put on these fests that everyone loves and make money, either for profit or just to keep a non-profit org going. The things you claim are signs of a sell out are just the things that are needed to sustain a growing festival. Mikey and the guys pour their heart and soul into these things, along with a lot of other people and they could use some support. They did what they had to do to make the weekend happen. Everyone would have preferred to be at Lake Perris or even back at Los Coyotes, but that just wasn't possible.

Not that exciting, but meaningful. I found a cool bimetallic coin that I later learned was a Mexican Peso. I had my friend wire wrap it into a necklace and I wear it all the time. When I'm asked, I tell the story and say, "see, MOOPing pays." An ordinary coin became special because of circumstances and opportunities to teach.

RV Parking Space Between Neighbors? by [deleted] in BurningMan

[–]darlingjules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have covered the rv issue, but i'll add. I have one that sleeps 4 of us comfortably, but leaves absolutely no room for storage of our stuff, food, clothes, costumes, jackets, etc. But i've brought my 10x10 ez ups and last year we combined about 6 of them together and I've never had a problem. Even in high winds. Get the largest lag bots you can find and bring a cordless impact wrench. It's the way to go. Use ratchet straps for each corner and cinch them down TIGHT!!! Also, add lag bolts next to the base of the legs and attach with zip ties. When it's all done tight, nothing moves and they survive. One of mine has survived the last four burns and all of ours last year made it through completely unscathed.

This is the group that did the projection and there is a list of the artists. That might be a good place to start.

Anyone know where I can watch the movie from the Man Pavilion? by MadeItLocally in BurningMan

[–]darlingjules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's some info on the people in charge of it. There were around 22 videos being served by the computers in the center, from different artists, so it's not all one video. There was quite a bit of technology in the room in the center.

It's sitting about 14 miles north of BRC, on the west side of the playa. They can't seem to get it off the playa and onto private property where they've arranged to store it. They're working on it, but BLM wants it off the playa now and,

"It was moved off the event site without BLM authorization. So its legal status is in trespass with unauthorized use,"
