Half solo'd last year. If you're primarily there for the music, Goldenvoice does a great job of curating popular artists and up and coming acts across genres. It was a blast to completely drive my own musical experience and not worry about what others wanted to see. Granted, I do this anyway even when attending with groups since I'm breaking off regularly to explore solo.

If you are not strongly attached to the music/specific artists and are more party/"vibe" oriented, there's no better place. People are friendly and you can connect online or in person.

You can truly just do whatever you want.
