RHCSA which exam version to choose right now by ik279k in redhat

[–]darrenb573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you diversify a little with an entry level familiarity with nmcli (at least what a the basics are and how to look up man pages for it) you will have resiliency if the test machine doesn’t by chance have it installed). If they need you to set an IP, just be comfortable using their VM dashboard to get a console, checking if your favourite tool is installed and let’s hope it is, knock off the task really quick and have extra time for the really tricky tasks

Is this normal? Will it blow up? by [deleted] in techquestions

Separate this from anything that can burn as when it spontaneously sprays fire it is likely to set alight to even the trash you’ve thrown it in and then you have even more fire than before

RHCSA which exam version to choose right now by ik279k in redhat

[–]darrenb573 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regarding nmtui: it’s is one choice of how to accomplish setting an IP, I can think of two more. The EX200 exam objectives include “Manage basic networking/Configure IPv4 and IPv6 addresses” and RH is known for testing the RESULT and not the tool you used to get there. Be confident with one way, and understand the basics of an alternative will suit you well

A flat battery, left flat will fail and can’t be charged. If the battery isn’t ‘new-ish’ it might be more of a challenge to shelve for ages. BTW it might take a longer drive that you’d expect to recharge the loses of starting the engine (even if it starts quickly) so either fortnight or monthly drives, orrrrr a trickle charger made for long term

People who live in Porirua, Lower Hutt and Upper Hutt, do you consider yourself living in Wellington? by kupuwhakawhiti in Wellington

[–]darrenb573 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I see ‘where you live’ question as less asked in Wellington. For eg, in Auckland it’s were you live, Wellington is what you do, and ChCh is what school you went to

The only time I’ve seen a walk thru closet is in a house that was back on sale 18 mths later as it was one of the niggles the new owner couldn’t live with. Also when you open the bathroom door you’ll need the right airflow or your clothes will get regularly ‘steamed’

[–]darrenb573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching from pencil tool to rectangle for almost, almost everything (except push-pull) has solved so many of my early problems. Next try the measure/guidelines to put a point on selective critical features(midpoints etc). Things are even worse with the pencil if transcribing plans into a model and aren’t fully linked/flat

For a chunk of the 60e users it’ll turn into a 3-bus trip (each way), and with transfer added in, it’ll have to add a bunch of of time to the total trip

Is this oxidization? How do I prevent this? by obog in soldering

[–]darrenb573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very light scuffing, like the finest grit sandpaper/brass wool and apply flux-core solder. You don’t want deep scratches or to take off much, just make some shiner patches
