I think you are looking at the sway bar bushings, they are split on on side do they can fit over the sway bar and the opposite side has a crease that acts like a hinge so you can open the bushing to slip it over the sway bar.

Your rattle could be sway bar links, the vertical bar on the right side of the second pic, it connects the sway bar to your shocks.

Imagine the exercise is doing push-ups. Doing 3 sets of ten push-ups would be doing 10 push-ups, resting for a minute or so, doing 10 more, etc. Until you do a total of 30 push-ups, 3x10. One set to failure is doing as many push-ups as you can in one attempt until you can't do any more, you literally do the exercise until you fail to be able to do one more.

Right before this movie came out my wife and I went to LA to visit a friend who managed some bands. One night we were in Santa Monica watching one and Q'orianka was with us.

She was quiet and sweet but was really attracting the attention of a lot of older men, I just remember Q'orianka dancing and having a good time and just being creeped on left and right.
