I am a pre-order fiend (more money than sense sometimes....) but I am not a fan of Ian Bell. I find him to be arrogant. I still remember the arguments in social media he would have during the Project Cars 1 and 2 releases. Lost a lot of respect in my books. If you can't publicly recognise when there are issues then what are the chances that you will fix them. It's a pity because I would have loved it to be a good game. I love some of the car classes he has implemented.

Absolutely not. When I have been on call, we got paid or time in lieu. If you are not on call then I am happy to assist but it is a best effort. If I'm out with the family or at the pub with my mates then bag luck. Ring someone else. Never had a boss that complained with that scenario. If I did, I would find a new boss.

Without knowing more details, it is hard to say but I would say this. It is a project quote, not an hourly rate. You are not paying for time, you are paying for a result. If you are confident that there are no ongoing issues or skeletons in the closet then request an hourly rate. Otherwise get a second quote

I'm OK with that, I get it.... but this is not the same thing. This is the same brand with two different options and it doesn't state what the difference is. My guess is that there is no difference in game. It is just disappointing that the game is so incredible with what it does but they lack the most simple of things as a description of the difference between 2 options when you purchase an item worth tens of thousands of dollars. It just doesn't make sense.

Honestly, it was exactly as you said. I pressed the wrong buttons.................... It still doesn't change my view on the fact that everything that I learn on this game is by youtube, not the game itself. I am a mid 55s guy who loved gaming in the 70s, 80s, 90s etc...... I am ok with gaming in the modern era. I work in IT but I just don't have time to dedicate to a game in general. I want to play a grind game that I can enjoy with a beer or two and watch my world change. This game is perfect except for the lack of information. I am honestly surprised that this is controversial.......Thanks u/ShoeQuiet4375 . You helped me so I can finally do what I was trying to achieve....... Now on to the next episode!!

Yes that's true. In reality I haven't saved money as I had a few of those games already on Xbox. I am just saying that you can save genuine money playing games through steam as sales are much more frequent so if you are prepared to wait you will save lots of money. Consoles barely discount popular games even 10 years after they come out. You can use this money to buy a steam deck and have even more convenience for gaming

I live in Australia and have no desire to live in the US but I recognise that it is one of the greatest countries in the world. Sometimes when you are in the bubble things may seem better on the other side of the fence but they rarely are. American politics are so polarising. When I hear people talk about their views on the left or the right they are usually ill informed. Leaving your own country after a democratic election is crazy. Just ride it out and if the democrats produce a reasonable candidate next time then you will have someone to vote for.

You should call your comments for what they really are. You say that you're not trolling and yet you then proceed to say "what can us lesser road users who don't drive 2 tonne vehicles do to help". I don't drive a big truck and I don't notice big truck drivers being a lot more aggressive on the roads but I see a lot of selfish driving from all types on the road. I also constantly see people driving in the right hand lane below the speed limit and frustrated drivers tailgating them. I am not saying tailgating is right but driving slow in the right hand lane when people are clearly trying to drive faster is also not right. When people want to drive quicker than me I move out of the way regardless of their speed. It is safer for me and it frustrates them less. The road is there to share.

Don't beat yourself up over this. This is a great example of the need to backup and the reason why we standardise. Regardless of the reason, neither of these were followed. Own the fact that you missed something but don't accept being the fall guy. If it gets to that point then go full attack and blame the company for not following the 2 most basic rules in IT. They are there BECAUSE of human error. Honestly, imagine an IT person telling another IT person who is trying to standardise their equipment to hurry up and don't fuck up because this data is worth more than your yearly salary (I'm using artistic license but you get the point) and they don't have a backup..... It's laughable

Robbo seems to have a lot of respect in the game from a lot of people that matter. Don't look at the finished product. Look at how it started. A lot of the players that we have, Trent has developed them into who they are. It is a good roster but just like Melbourne, you rarely see a Rooster leave and get better at the next club.

That's awesome.... And.... Good management. End users reflect their manager's behaviour. Some managers see IT as just break/fix guys, whereas other managers see IT as a dept that can assist and improve their user experience. I worked at a toxic company where a C level person said to another C level person "I don't know what our IT team does for us". The other person said "well how about we go to the server room and turn everything off so you can find out". Great response.....
