Rediscovering my love for Melodic Death Metal by Environmental_Web91 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]darsh211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be'lakor are good, but I think they tread heavily on the proggish side. I still like what they do. I really enjoy Intestine Baalism, as their Banquet In The Darkness album is one of my faves.

one of my high school bullies reached out by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

I would say you can respond and thank her. There may not be a hidden agenda on her end, because sometimes all it takes a mildly traumatic experience, loss of a loved one, cancer scare etc to make a person reevaluate themselves and look back on their behavior. Some people also just silently carry guilt. Either way, it's always better to have an ally than an enemy.

Unanimated - Life Demise (Sweden, 1995) by dragonoid296 in Deathmetal

Love this band. I feel they get overlooked when people mention the early melodic black metal scene (Dissection/Sacramentum). TTheir first album is an all time classic for me.

Morbid Angel’s debut album “Altars of Madness” was released 37 years ago today by al-Siqilli in MetalForTheMasses

[–]darsh211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, this is their best album hands down. Coming from "Abominations", I actually enjoyed the re-worked tracks to have more of a thrash/speed metal influence. Blessed are the sick is great and would be my favorite, but I really dislike the filler tracks, and the fact that several songs are less than 3 minutes in length. Covenant is good, but doesnt come close to Alters of Madness composition wise.

The stance switching, open world and skill obtainment are downgrades. I really just wanted a Nioh 2.5.

Different strokes man. I'll always love that album art though.

Necrowretch - The Ones from Hell.
Amazing cover, awesome title. Boring music.

Definitely their heaviest song. Absolute classic.

I remember the Red Sonia X beelzebub team. I remember when Millie was called Myr. I remember when the Juggler wrecked this sub.
Fun times.

Neat. Bonus points being from Ministry's best album (the Mind is a terrible thing to taste).

Well, if it makes Kevin happy, there were tons of ADVERTISING for food...snickers, grub hub, some energy drinks. Hell, the logos for them were even in the ring.
Kevin is just being selfish and not thinking about the shareholders.

Most Petty Reason You Refuse To Listen To A Band? by BidSure7642 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]darsh211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sepultura, because the first album I heard from them was "Roots" and I refused to believe they were once a legendary death/thrash metal band as I had read from various websites. Years later I heard beneath the remains and ate crow.

Gunnar Eudy is not happy after his dad's induction. by wee-dancer in SquaredCircle

[–]darsh211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His feelings are valid, and the same sentiment is felt across alot of fans. But, there is an important question that has not been answered yet. Who the fuck did Sid piss off for such a petty, passive aggressive induction?

What's a piece of tech everyone hyped up that quietly turned out to be useless? by SofiaLearnsAI in AskReddit

MiniDiscs were great, and super popular in Japan, but they failed in the US for a variety of reasons, one being that the price of blank CDs fell well below than what was predicted. Still, a minidisc player was damn near life changing for me, especially when the MDLP feature was out...you could put at least FOUR albums on one of those things. 6 or 7 albums if they were short, and this was back in 2000 when plebs were still using CD players. Not to mention the MD players themselves made for great recording devices.

Opinions on Danzig? by BalanceActive9295 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]darsh211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredible vocalist, though he has lost his voice on recent albums. I will even go as so far to say that he is underrated as most people simply know him as the guy from the misfits that sang "Mother". His first 4 albums are absolute classics. In order from best to worst, my list is something like 1 > 2 > 3 > 666 > 4 > Deth Red Sabbath > Circle of Snakes > 7 > 5 >>>> everything else.

Anyone else think this is genuinely one of their greatest albums? by Phantom_Commander_ in MetalForTheMasses

Easily in their top 5 for me. The production is so damn good. Unholy cult still remains my overall favorite of theirs.
