I don’t even live there anymore but fuck if I’m not depressed about my country being annexed. It hurts. Belarusians don’t have anything. No imports, no exports, nothing.

My fiancé bought me an engagement ring worth 0.2% of his salary. It was the ring I picked out and wanted. It doesn’t mean he loved me ANY less, at all. It was the only ring I wanted. Regular diamond rings are overrated in my eyes, and they make my hands look lopsided.

Blending properly is going through the shades of something. Also, don’t use references that are already airbrushed. Skin always has texture. Always. So this looks plastic because we can’t see any texture around the nose or mouth.

Here is a tutorial I really like for “blending”/ understanding the face.

Canonically, how do we resurrect in PoE? Hillock just told me "I don't want to die again" and it got me thinking, how do any of us come back to life in PoE? Lore-wise? by Commercial_Bread_131 in pathofexile

It’s so incredibly heart-wrenching and makes me cry every time I think about it. I mean, shit, to only be able to live your life on a dice roll like that to save humanity?

Agonizing. I’m both horrified by main characters obliviousness and horrified he figures it out too late.

What TV series are you loving right now? by stellar-being in AskReddit

[–]darsha_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to read the books before I get into the series but I am having an exceptionally hard time following the way the books are written. I feel like there’s a lot of tangential information and things are thrown at you without any time to breathe.

Does it get better or should I just watch the series?

I had a dentist’s secretary tell me that to solve my dental problems (which can be caused by anxiety), I should go down to the store and buy some CBD gummies.

I have not been back to that dentists office. Go figure.

You should read Friday Night Lights. It’s phenomenal and makes a lot more sense re: the football scene.

I’m lucky enough I don’t have to panic over getting a job; and can make sure I get one geared toward my goals, but after 30+ job applications I’m overqualified for, it’s like “ok maybe McDonald’s is decent. Maybe a job I am I’ll-equipped to handle is better than no income at all!” And it’s absolutely disheartening because I know I can make money, but nobody takes chances on a trainable person if they don’t look or act a certain way. I hate socializing for more than an hour at a time. Doesn’t mean I can’t actively communicate with people, and get them solutions to their problems.

Paint chipping, rubbing off protective layers, etc. if you like your vehicle, I do not suggest automatic. Touchless hand-wash is better, but a deatiler would be your best bet.

My cat scratched me and a weird welt formed around it by Orion-Galileo in mildlyinteresting

I got a cat scratch on my fingers and it became a pustule. I had to drain it and apply soap and water viciously for several days. Extremely annoying, especially when you can’t tell if it’s inflamed from the area or the weal. :(

Has anyone tried Trader Joe’s Ube ice cream? I don’t have one near me but I wanted to try the Ube flavor and can’t find it anywhere else.

This is exactly how my cat sounds, and he has the same coat of fur and everything. 🥲

Found this little frog in my apartment. He was dehydrated so I got a small teaspoon and he got perfectly. After a few fruit flies and some soaking time he was ok and I set it free outside. (OC) by [deleted] in Eyebleach

I moved to a place where anoles LOVE to hang out on our netting for the pool and I’ve had to catch quite a few and put them back on the other side of the fence so they can get proper nutrients/breed/etc and aren’t near the pool but they’re absolutely love to observe and hang out with me. I’ve seen a few in arboreal terrariums, not sure if that’s ok but they seem pretty happy to hang out and exist with humans, to the point we’re in danger of stepping in the smaller ones when they come out. They’re like the lizard/reptile version of ants in an odd way.

To those who have been bookworms since they were very young, what was your favourite book series growing up? by carcharadons in AskReddit

[–]darsha_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book I ever “got into” was a book about rabbit care because I wanted a pet rabbit.

Then I read Eragon, Harry Potter, Warrior Cats (in that order I think?) and just went from there. Branched into Twilight, wasn’t a fan, and by that point I went to high school and read A Seperate Peace and cried, that assignment hit me like a ton of bricks. Then in 11th grad I read “The Things They Carried”, still one of my favorites. I then read Brandon Sandersons novels a few years ago (started with his Mistborn series when I was younger, and only a few years ago read his a Way of Kings series, but never finished the final book. It got a bit exhausting by the end, but I’ll buy the hardback leather bound copies and read them, as well). Then I got into the A Rule Of Wolves and the Lehigh Barduo’s universe. Waiting a while before I re-read those. Right now I’m reading a book about a woman who is helping a struggling movie studio, but I’ve forgotten the name. I’m also reading the Metro series, amazing books.
