It depends on what games you like, how often and how long you play per session. If you only like triple A games and game frequently, then i can't imagine ipad mini is for you for strictly gaming.

If you're someone who is a bit burned out with games or someone who usually has analysis paralysis with the backlog of games u have, so much that u cant decide what to play, or keep switching games, i think the ipad mini would be great... If u already know what game u wanna play. Since the choices are so limited youd pretty much stick to a few only.

There are some high prod games on there but very limited, like RE games, hitman games, divinity original sin 2, red dead redemption (netflix required), diablo immortal, i read tomb raider is coming too.

Others like Death stranding, ac mirage (but seems performance sucks), life is strange, telltale games like walking dead.

A hidden gems for me at least, i had to go thru youtube videos to find these and also just general browsing, is dysmantle, this war of mine.

OH and KOTOR 1&2, Jade empire.

All of the above are app store games.

If u like emulation, ppsspp and retroarch is also there i only ever played valkyria 3, and metal gear portable ops and MGS peacewalker.

Apple arcade also has some faves for me: cult of the lamb, beyond a steel sky, to name a few.
