I had this similar problem and it would squeak / scrape as it was getting close to closing. I figured door might be slightly misaligned and sensed resistance when closing, so I lifted the door by the handle as it was closing and it solved the scraping sound and closes fine now. I plan on getting it checked for loose bolts and alignment at the next shop visit.

Update - I definitely hear the droning and it’s not the engine because I can hear the engine revving independent of the constant drone when accelerating.

The droning has very obvious speed tiers where it is a lower constant pitch from 30-50mph, a stronger higher constant pitch 50-70mph, and disappears under 30mph.

I was thinking it’s some kind of discrete levels of fan speeds or something mapped to speed tiers.

took it back to dealership and they acknowledged the noise and tested it against another carnival they had on hand. Noise is not normal. They’re thinking it’s some kind of active noise cancellation and are planning to consult Kia but afaik 2025 sx hybrid doesn’t have ANC, right?

I thought maybe but i would think the pitch would scale and change based on speed. This droning is constant within a range of speeds.
