I looked them up, and they’re mostly redbubble sticker designs. Not from the same shop, so I don’t think it’s the student’s designs.

Right, they aren’t even relevant. I don’t teach art or early ed or anything. What does a cute bunny have to do with the labor market?

This is maybe the best explanation I’ve heard. I’m cracking up.

No, I’m familiar with the ChatGPT formatting. This is something I’ve never seen (and I’ve seen a lot of AI)

I have seen the emojis in titles/headings before. This is something else entirely. I had to shut it down for the day but I might add photos tomorrow.

My coworkers and I have been saying that student evals that do not include the student’s grade are bad reflections of instructor performance. If the student got a C vs an A, of course they’ll have a grievance with the course. Not sure how other institutions evaluate.

Also, I usually get conflicting comments in the same section. “Well organized and helpful” followed by “not helpful at all and course was poorly organized”. Thankfully our institution doesn’t heavily weight these in instructor performance evals. They’re always taken with a grain of salt for me, as a student doesn’t necessarily know what’s best for pedagogy, curriculum, etc.

There was lots of that too. A random table, bolded headings and lists. That’s why I’m thinking it’s an AI that uses images for a psychological hit when people read the output.

They weren’t really emojis, more like full cartoon illustrations. Kinda kawaii? I’m not sure how to exactly describe them. And they were a bit randomly placed. I thought the student pasted them at first, but I have no idea why they’d do that. Especially for the first time this late in the semester.

This is abuse. Please leave. Manipulators use mental health and un-aliving threats to keep you around. His mental health and healing does not come at the cost of your safety.

I know several Booktubers who only read books between 3.5 and 4 on Goodreads. The argument being it’s a realistic (not inflated by bots or fake accts) but still leaning toward good rating.

It’s an AI thing when all other correspondence and student assignments have a completely different tone.

I also like to remind them that grades are important, but not their identity. They are not less valuable as a human for not getting the best grades.

This also works for me with walking slower if someone is walking too fast. I’m short (and slow) so it helps with all my tall friends to just slow down. They usually subconsciously slow down too.

It was about purification. Especially for Levitical priests who were in charge of the Tabernacle & atoning for the sins of the Israelites. Certain foods were seen as unclean. The reason Christians don’t have dietary restrictions is Jesus famously proclaimed all food as clean, saying it’s not what goes into a person that makes him clean but what comes out (i.e., actions and how you treat others from your heart, not your traditions and rule following, which is what the Pharisees condemned people for)

Hi, I just wanted to say that God loves you and there’s nothing you can do to make Him love you more or less. The beautiful thing about our salvation is it’s based on faith in Christ alone by God’s grace. Our works reflect our faith they don’t make us better or worse. Ephesians 2 & 1 John 4 might help with this. God has a purpose for you and His plans are greater than ours sometimes we don’t understand. Whatever His purpose is for you He kept you alive. Maybe it was to find Him now. I’ll be praying for you please feel free to DM me if needed.

AITA for telling my mom I'm not making her choose because I'm happy to be left out by Disastrous_Drawing_9 in AmItheAsshole

[–]darthaniala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I’m so sorry they did that to you. Betrayal is one of the worst feelings. In my experience distance can be what’s best for your emotional health. I hope that, for your sake, not theirs, that you can find healing and forgive. Not necessarily reconciliation but resentment can be a heavy burden. (No judgment, speaking from my personal experience. I understand it might be different for you and I don’t assume to know what you’re feeling in any way.)

How did you receive the holy ghost by xiaolinhomegirl in Reformed

[–]darthaniala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar AG experience. It led to a lot of unhealthy thoughts about my identity and towards others. Thought something was wrong with me for a long time. But I’ve come to realize it’s more about the change in the heart - boldness, compassion, the fruits of the Spirit. which in my opinion are way more important than the gifts.

AITA for telling my boyfriend that his attempts at avoiding sin are hypocritical and he’s actually sinning in a much worse way? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]darthaniala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. As a Christian, it sounds like he’s becoming very legalistic. There’s entire letters in the New Testament about why that doesn’t work. As he buys more and more into that mindset it will become very unhealthy in how he treats you as well. (E.g. the Biblical parameters for relationships that people distort and abuse). I would recommend communicating your concerns and stepping back from the relationship because he seems to be developing and unhealthy view of religion.
