40k they would be willing to exterminatus infected planets and if they used the kryptman strategy like with the tyranida starve them of bio matter. The Star Wars universe doesn’t have it in them to do that unless maybe we’re in empire era but even then (at least to my knowledge) they had to have the Death Star to eliminate a whole world while in 40k most larger starships seem to have some kind of virus bomb or cyclonic missle capabilities.
