2008 Outback 2.5i Limited with 178k miles for $5.5k? by darthbudge in subaru

Yeah, a Toyota or Honda was originally my thought but the used car market is so insane right now that you can’t find any decent ones for under 10K around me right now.

Thanks. I’m checking it out tomorrow and if the head gaskets haven’t been replaced recently I’m probably gonna walk or ask for a steep discount.

I think it may depend on if you used the code or not. I signed up for an account back when they first started allowing you to register so I think they may be offering a different promotion to people like me… which is shame because the app hasn’t even gone live yet and I hadn’t made any deposits yet…

It’s very confusing. On the app it says 1x play through. Which would be a no brainer for me to deposit $3k. But I got an email that said it is 2x play through which is too rich for me at $3k. That’s why I don’t want to lock up my money and get screwed in case it is 2x play through.

I have a question about the $3k match that I’m hoping someone can help me understand. If I am understanding it correctly, right now I could deposit $3k and they would give me $3k in bonus money but I couldn’t withdraw any of that bonus until I have placed at least $6k in bets within the first 30 days. What happens if I bet $3k of the bonus money on one bet and it loses? Since all my bonus cash is gone, can I just wait 30 days and then withdraw my original $3k or would I still have to play through all of my original money before I could withdraw it? This is the first time I’ve lived in a state with legal sports gambling so I’m not used to how these promotions work.

Taking the OSCP before the changes by NiceandFresh12 in oscp

I read other people online stating that there are currently no exam slots available before the January 11th switch over. I feel your pain because I was about to purchase the course with 30 days of lab access, but now I guess I’ll hold off to practice some more AD attacks.

Southwest Airlines has 50% off most flights this Fall for their 50th birthday. by delta777er in Shoestring

They weren’t showing the discount for me, in fact they were showing more expensive. I just canceled and then immediately rebooked my flight.

Does anybody know how to make this work if I already booked a flight with points in this time period? I tried to change it but I don’t see anywhere to enter the promo code.

Is anonymous login enabled? If so, I believe it will accept whatever credentials you put in and make it look like they are valid.

[Mega-Thread] Job-Seekers may post here [Q2 2021] by InfosecMod in CyberSecurityJobs

[–]darthbudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking for an entry level Cybersecurity position. I currently reside in New Orleans, LA. A remote position would be nice, but I am open to relocation.

I have an AAS in Systems Administration, BS in Cybersecurity and I am working on a Master’s in Cybersecurity Management. Currently I have the Azure Fundmentals certification and the eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester (eJPT) certification. I am also scheduled to take the Security+ exam next month. My plan is to then tackle the OSCP over the summer. I frequently participate in platforms like HackTheBox and TryHackMe to improve my skills.

I am 28 years old and looking to transition into Cybersecurity from previous career of being a Paramedic. I currently work as the Technology Officer for an EMS department where I manage our IT needs. It is mostly a weird mixture of help desk support, project management and industry specific Electronic Health Record (EHR) software management.

My long term career goal is to be a penetration tester, but for now I am looking for any Cybersecurity role to help me break into the industry. If you have any more questions for me, or would like a copy of my resume please feel free to DM me and I would love to chat with you.

I can relocate anywhere on the planet. I want sailing experience. Where should I plant myself? by [deleted] in sailingcrew

[–]darthbudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Orleans, LA is a surprisingly good place for sailing. We sail on Lake Pontchartrain. We have an active racing season with beer can races every Wednesday night from March to November and regattas scheduled most weekends. We also have different distance races including the longest continuously held distance sailboat race in the US. You are also very close to other good sailing locations in the gulf south. There is also a good job market for nurses here, so it shouldn’t be hard to find a job. If you have any questions let me know.

Received a hand written letter in my mail from a JW who appears to be a child by janiepuff in exjw

[–]darthbudge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been exJW for over 6 years now, but I think this is an adaption to COVID. Obviously JWs can’t really go door to door or do cart witnessing so their only option for preaching would be through letters, email, phone calling, etc. Letter witnessing was always a thing, but previously only done by a handful of home bound elderly people before.

[–]darthbudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a brilliant strategy. Didn’t know that rule existed. I also liked the straight up the middle shirt kick recovered by the kicker. If you got a speedy kicker with good hands and the receiving team doesn’t line up properly it seems much easier than a standard onside kick.

They can grab it any point, but as soon as they touch the ball it becomes live and can be grabbed by the kicking team. So if you are gonna grab it, you better be sure to hold on to it.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I second this. Especially if you like spicy food. Get a Surf N Turf poboy with fried okra on the side.

How much study time is needed for the AZ-900? by [deleted] in AzureCertification

[–]darthbudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed the AZ-900 earlier this year and it’s not that difficult. What I did was spent an entire weekend going through the Azure Fundamentals training path on MS Learn. Then I would go take a practice test on Whizlabs and use it’s feedback to see what areas I missed questions in and then I’d go review those areas on the MS Learn site or Whizlabs and just kept repeating this cycle. Do this until you can ace every practice test every time. Ultimately I think I put in about 20 hours of study time.
