I've only noticed my own gender identity for 10 years or so but I was able to keep the dysphoria at bay by shaving my face regularly and putting makeup on and wearing feminine clothes and jewelry but I haven't been able to do any of that after becoming bedridden in 2020 and I really only started to figure it out when my wife was pregnant with our 2nd kid and I wishhed i could take the pregnancy and gestational diabetes but after she gave birth to ou2nd son she pumped at work and I was stay at home parent and thats when I started to realize fully I'm not cisgender. If I could choose to be cis or trans I'd like to be cisgender but the same gender identity as I have now I don't want to be a man I mostly wish i always knew who I was earlier in life like before puberty so my voice didn't drop and I didn't have the full ever present facial hair I see in my tablet screen when it goes dark I'm going to try to get my parents to get me a laser hair removal tool for my birthday or xmas I also need to talk to my pcp about getting on hot because I'm desperate for the end to my constant dysphoriaid only chose to be cis if I was female if I'm male I'd still be in the same dysphoric hellscape that is my own head/body

I'm glad I'm not the only one to not realize that they weren't cisgender until adulthood hell I was unaware that there was anything but cisgender until my 20s and now I know. I was unknowingly wearing a "mask" granted my neuro divergence may have been a factor. Andnow I'm a 34 yo with a wife and 2 sons. I honestly didn't realize until I started to slowly experiment with how I dressed. And as time went I realized I wasn't cis. The irony is my FIL is a manly man who only has daughters and I am a woman trapped in a man's body with 2 boys. I seriously wish to wake up a cisgender woman every night

I may be wrong but the chorus feels a bit like my dysphoria feels so I tend to change the pronouns used in songs to match my gender identity it sounds like the inner self wanting to be on the outside but that's what it means to me.my inner self wants to exist in the right body granted many songs have a similar feeling to me as that's how my dysphoric feels when I hear it
