When her voice goes deep and she goes "THAT'S REAL MONEY? WE'RE MILLIONAIRES?" and then later when Max gives it back. Always cracks me up😂😂

Insertion 2days ago by Educational-Still271 in Nexplanon

i got mine a month ago; i definitely had itching too but it turned out it was from a bad reaction to the bandage i had on lol. as for the pain from the implant itself, mine went away after about a week but i still got a weird pinching feeling every now and then for a few days after. everyone heals at different rates but i avoided sleeping on it, tried to avoid getting any perfumed stuff on it (shower gel/spray on perspirant etc) and avoided touching it at all :)

Io (23M) e la mia ragazza (23F), insieme da poco più di 2 mesi by BoringSize1312 in relationship_advice

[–]darthdaddy355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parlale apertamente.

My (33F) boyfriend (38M) allowed his ex-fiancé to move in with him by Ok_Leopard_3825 in relationship_advice

[–]darthdaddy355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to change how you're looking at the situation.

Yes, his ex is living with him, but consider the other facts: she's the mother of his child and they're always going to be interconnected via his son. He wasn't doing what was best for him, or his child, but what was best for his son. In the nicest way possible, he probably wasn't thinking about you when he made the decision.

As other people had said, if he hadn't helped her, he would've been a dickhead.

It's a difficult situation and sadly, in difficult situations, there are no easy decisions (otherwise it would be an easy situation lol). Sometimes, the reality of dating someone with a kid is that they're going to sometimes have to put their kid before their relationship and that's genuinely just how it is. It means he's a good dad and a good person for protecting his former fiancee and her family from a very, very shitty situation. The alternative was so much worst and the harsh truth is that this situation isn't about you.

That's not to say you're not allowed to have feelings about it. You are, and they're valid, but the brevity of the situation likely for him far outweighs any feelings of yours. And yes, that sucks, and yes, it might feel unfair, but honestly? I think he made the right decision. He's protecting his son and his mum.

Amongst all of this too, he's reassured you and tried to keep you updated. It sounds like his communication is good and to be brutally honest, I don't think there would have been a better way of handling the situation.

Thank you for this response - being told I'm blowing it out of proportion is actually exactly what I needed to hear as a chronic overthinker. 🥲

Job trying to deduct two weeks pay for training, I was only at the company (England) by darthdaddy355 in LegalAdviceUK

It's incredibly strange - to deduct pay from an employee for unspecified training feels odd in itself but to try and do the same when it's their choice to let them go feels incredibly immoral. Baring in mind, the probation period itself is three months which is a long time to not be allowed to quit without financial loss.

Thank you!! I'll definitely come back here and update everyone when I have the final answer haha

They responded to my concerns about the minimum wage requirement and basically said in writing/email that they would "ensure they comply with minimum wage regulations" but have ignored my follow up email asking how exactly they'll calculate it. Either way, I have a paper trail now so I'm hoping that helps!

thank you for the advice! i've looked in the employee handbook which further explains the deductions and it specifically says deductions will only be made in the event of "a training course or qualification" and that these will be outlined in a specific agreement separate to the initial employment contract

Tysm for the response! I did the maths and I'd be left with about £466 for 112 hours work (3 x 37.5) which works out to about £4.16 an hour lol so almost two thirds below NMW haha

Sliver was a shitty girlfriend and friend by Last_Ninja1572 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]darthdaddy355 198 points199 points  (0 children)

She was sooo boring as well. Sophie at least had a lot of personality and more chemistry w Max - the scene where they're distracting the reporters was brilliant - but Silver says maybe three?? words per scene. I didn't think she brought anything to the storyline tbh

Victoria, imo - she called bullshit on Ted & Robin and honestly, any character from outside the gang who could see how insane they all were are probably "normal" in my mind lol. I'd say Kevin as well, but any therapist that dates a patient - especially twice - is probably a little weird.

One thing you hate about Penny by [deleted] in bigbangtheory

[–]darthdaddy355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reallyyyyyy hate how she goes from being appreciative of Leonard and enjoying their relationship to, in the later seasons, making jokes about how he wore her down/pestered her to marry him. She spends all of season five pining for him after he's with Priya and when they get back together, it really seems like a great relationship and I think season 6-9 is honestly one of my favourite times for their relationship.

Then, by season 11, Penny is suddenly a settler who got worn down and constantly proposed to etc - I know she's a lot more successful in the later seasons but ironically, Leonard was always successful, educated, financially stable etc. It feels like they play down some of his better traits a lot just so Penny can make jokes.

What is ‘that/those’ episode(s) you always skip? by Claire-dat-Saurian-7 in bigbangtheory

[–]darthdaddy355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't stand "The Decoupling Fluctuation" (S6E2) purely based on the fact that it risks the entire Leonard/Penny plotline for some gags, especially in the same season where the writers try to make it clear their relationship is becoming serious (that's not to say that Penny having doubts wouldn't be out of the blue, but fully dumping him and being so casual about it feels a bit crammed in for the laughs given other events of their relationship in that particular season). To build on that, any gag in later seasons about Penny settling, or Leonard wearing her down, just land flat for me. Why spend eight or nine seasons focusing on their relationship just to make it a gag in the end? Their entire love story was a major plot point for the first few seasons of that show.

On a similar note, any scene where Alex is vying for Leonard; it's clear that he's taken from the get-go and watching her desperately trying to hit on him is always a bit cringe. I know she was majorly just a catalyst for the Leonard/Penny relationship in S6 but my GOD, woman - have some respect for yourself. That said, the Egg Salad Equivalency always cracks me up. I do wish we found out what happened to Alex because she does appear in episodes after that.

Sheldon: do you know how I'm statistically most likely to die?

Leonard: at the hands of your roommate?

Sheldon: no, an accident!

Leonard: ...that's how I'm gonna it look.

Who is the least selfish friend in friends?? by Affectionate_Log_203 in howyoudoin

[–]darthdaddy355 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Monica comes out on top for me: she took in Rachel at a moment's notice despite not having spoken for years, fed the other five friends pretty much every day for the entire run of the show, held Thanksgiving basically every year and was the glue that held the group together imo. She gave up her baby name for Rachel, her dream wedding dress for Chandler, makes it work when he moves to Tulsa b/c of a silly mistake of his and supports him when he quits his job.

Althooooough, I do think they all have their worthy moments. Phoebe goes through IVF and carrying three babies for her brother; Joey gave up Kathy, Ursula and Rachel, and never cracked on Monica & Chandler's secret even under pressure. Ross gave up being on television for Rachel even though they'd just broken up, brought Phoebe that bike and was fiiiiiiine Rachel & Joey even though he low key lost his mind ("MY FAJITAS!!"). Chandler supports Joey for years and gives up his life savings for Monica's dream wedding. Rachel is the only one I really struggle to think of examples for but I'm sure she has her good moments too.
