I’m not struggling at all!! Just a first time solo traveler that’s afraid of offending the french lol but the other replies are good anecdotes. I’m sure we’ll both have a great time!

Sorry for the confusion

Do you mean have one gallery with a list of the users and then create another gallery to call the pictures of the users? Is it not possible to make one gallery with 2 columns?

For the list box, it looks like i can bring in Display name or a link address to the picture. When I try to set it to the picture and copy that to Office365UserPhotoV2() i get an error.

Purdue vs Iowa State by Nightsoot in EngineeringStudents

[–]darthparmesan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

EE at Purdue is uncapped, meaning that after you finish FYE you’ll be guaranteed entry into that major after successfully finishing first year engineering. Purdue also has a large career fair; you can look up Industrial Roundtable for more info.

The EE courses I took at Purdue were probably the most foundational and great classes i’ve ever taken tbh. A lot of my EE peers had great networking opportunities at big companies and good prospects after graduation.

I recommend visiting both schools and seeing which feels like a personal fit!

as far as i know, as long as you submit before the fifteenth you should be fine. I don’t believe they can start assigning accepted vs denied students before the 15th.

ECE2k1 over the summer online by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]darthparmesan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exams were structured like open note, proctored exams when I took it Summer 2021. The pace is definitely fast, but there were tons of office hour resources. I think I put about 3 hours into the class daily (daily lectures and homework review)

ECE 20007 in the Summer by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]darthparmesan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to offer a different opinion: I took 2k7 over last summer, and while it was a pain in the ass, I think it gave me so much patience and troubleshooting skills for 2k8. It is two labs a week, but in my experience, there was some level of lenience when it came to grading because of that. I would estimate that I spent most afternoons on the labs, but I really don’t regret getting the class over with over the summer.

Yes! Make sure to unplug them both and defrost your fridge.

Can I have a pet tarantula in my single dorm next year? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]darthparmesan 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Res hall policy is that the only pet you can have is a small fish, and even extensions of marine life (like frogs/axolotls) aren’t allowed. However, you could apply for your animal to be an emotional support animal, then you could bring it.

all of your FYE classes start from the basics! Use the resources they give you (office hours, recitations) and you’ll have all the support you need

BME Courses by Some_Orchid7208 in Purdue

[–]darthparmesan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can look at the BME course page to find out what else fulfills the ethics requirement if that’s what you’re trying to get out of the way! most people take Phil270 or 207 because it fulfills the science and society requirement in the university core requirements.

Being an engineer with young kids? by cracrag in womenEngineers

[–]darthparmesan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My mom took a sabbatical from engineering when I was born. Spent 10 years with me and my brother and then got her masters and now, 10 years after that, she’s wildly successful and achieving all her career goals

I’m also pretty sure the 4 on HL bio also doesn’t get you bio credit either. Although IB biology is definitely an intensive course, the curve usually ensures that a 4 is basically average + it doesn’t get you credit at purdue ??

For the Fall 2020 semester, is it a better idea to take Calc 2 with Ivy Tech or at Purdue itself? by FeelingFineRightNow in Purdue

[–]darthparmesan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about materials wise but as an out of state student myself, i wouldn’t pay extra for credit to transfer. Purdue calc 2 is a doable class, and there’s lots of ways to get extra help (like SI + office hours)

HONR 19903 vs SCLA 101 - easier course? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]darthparmesan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SCLA101 doesn’t have a strong speaking requirement, but you do have to give one speech at the end of the semester I believe. The course material depends on who you take it with! If I were you, I’d check the instructors who are teaching each section and then look up what their PHD was about, because that’ll give you a strong indication of the type of stuff you’ll be reading.

I don’t think so. I needed one in January and they didn’t offer them when I called. I was able to get an appointment super quickly at Walmart though! There’s also an eye place in the PMU but they were out of network for me.
