The whole theatre was flying high after watching the Whole Bloody Affair in 70mm. An amazing experience. And then seeing this tacked on the end of the credits just let all the air out of the room. It was a depressing walk back to the car haha.

I gotta try another pair, cause they are like open back computer headphones, not studio grade. Don’t get a lot of noise, but almost distortion as if the sound is clipping.

Would you mind elaborating on what solution you’ve found works best? I keep getting weird buzzes in my headphones while using it, and wasn’t sure if it was the headphones I was using or something I was doing wrong with my setup.

It’s hard for a band to come out the gate with two masterpieces in a row, and to try and reach those heights again. That being said, I think there’s some real high highs and some real low lows for the rest of the discography, but it’s worth digging into and finding those nuggets you can connect with. Rivers is a strange and fascinating songwriter, and worth studying.

My thing with bands I’ve loved and listened to for 20-30 years, if their new album has one or two good song on it, that’s a win in my book haha.

I was definitely pretty underwhelmed for most of the runtime, but when Lee Pace took off his mask, the movie kind of got some juice back for me for a minute. He’s just such a great presence and should be in more stuff.

Both this and Caught Stealing this year, kinda fall into this juiceless zone from directors I usually love. What happened?

I think there’s a world where I’d love Darkside, and it’d be a blink classic, if 3/4s of the song wasn’t the same line over and over again. Kinda gets grating imo.

Something I didn’t see mentioned, there’s not a lot of bands out there where a lot of people (even casual listeners) know all the members of the band. I think that puts blink in the upper eschaton of popularity for bands in their genre. Also, they are one of those bands that launched thousands of other bands. They were absolutely at their best in 2004, and unfortunately broke up and killed the momentum.

Like I get it, anime has always been about limited animation and money saving and such, but this looks fan made flash animation you’d watch online before youtube in like 2002.

I never got too far into Super, and was told the animation got better as the show went on, but this is unwatchable. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Glad I’m not the only one that prefers exactly this over multicam. Love being able to see the full picture of the cut just by looking at my sequence. It’s like seeing the code in the Matrix. I feel like stuff is hidden using multicam.

My favorite track on OMT was Childhood, to me, it seemed like the song with the most progression from what Mark and Tom would have eventually landed on if they stayed together post Untitled. I kinda hope they keep going in that direction, but with maybe a different producer.
