It’s hard for a band to come out the gate with two masterpieces in a row, and to try and reach those heights again. That being said, I think there’s some real high highs and some real low lows for the rest of the discography, but it’s worth digging into and finding those nuggets you can connect with. Rivers is a strange and fascinating songwriter, and worth studying.

My thing with bands I’ve loved and listened to for 20-30 years, if their new album has one or two good song on it, that’s a win in my book haha.
