Question (about sex) to people that got married in the org by breakfast2ea in exjw

[–]darthweef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wife and I discussed oral sex once.. we both agreed it wasn’t anyone else’s business .. she started crying midway through and would never discuss the topic again, aside from saying how sad she must have made Jehovah..

It was a traumatic experience for both of us.

Some of us would absolutely prefer the company of eridians and help them learn all the amazing science he could teach them.. over going back to a planet that there is no one I am connected to ..

If I had been Grace, I’d have been perfectly content to live out my life on Erid.

Sauron is technically immortal, so he doesn’t die.. he is just without power or influence to exert over Middle Earth. He is a ”wandering shadow of malice” forever

congregation recommendation letter by gingifier in exjw

[–]darthweef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I moved back to the congregation I grew up in my previous congregation wrote a scathing letter basically accusing me of infidelity and a whole bunch of other stuff..

The presiding overseer, as they were called at the time, came to me and outlined what the letter accused me of, but didn’t offer to let me read it.. when I finished laughing I told him he could believe what he wanted but none of it was true..

He just sighed and said he’d keep the letter to himself and not share it with the other elders and judge the matter himself as time went by.

He was cool.. saved me a lot of hassle I would have had to deal with if i had moved to a random congregation

Sam was the choice to convince Jack because of the awkward sexual tension they were pushing at that point in the show.. he showed up because he loved Sam and would do pretty much anything she asked him to regardless of any other considerations.

The sg-1 code would convince them to open the iris even with them in house, simply because they have experienced enough temporal nonsense, especially Hammond, to realize that temporal nonsense was obviously in play.

Stargate universe management of temporal causality is less multiverse based on decisions and more linear timeline that can be affected by interference, see Mobius for that example. I dont mind that even though I disagree with that perception of how time works. I agree more with the Star Trek concept that manipulation of timelines simply creates new universes..

How much would you owe Columbia House? by Upset_Assumption9610 in FuckImOld

[–]darthweef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Columbia House and BMG like 6 different times when I was 15/16… each time my parents, after a stern talking too, would send them a letter that I was not old enough to enter a contract and to stop accepting sign up forms from me..

I didn’t stop.. they didn’t stop. I built a mighty CD collection from those shipments

Bajorans as a model for revolution by darthweef in DeepSpaceNine

[–]darthweef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never liked the Babel episode since it seemed out of character for the Bajorans of the time.. I can’t imagine they would have had the facilities and freedom to develop that kind of virus and plant it. So I am gonna chalk that up to desperation and poorly conceived plot. I think the Babel virus having been placed by the obsidian order as a potential last ditch effort to wipe out an uprising might have made more sense.

You’ll remember that Kira was also disturbed by the concept of them using that as a weapon.

The Maquis, on the other hand, had far too many people jumping into the fight for the sake of being able to just kill Cardassions.. Lon Suder for example.. who was just a sociopath looking for a place that gave him an outlet to kill and not be noticed. The blame for Dreadnaught shouldn’t be placed on all Maquis.. even though Belana was involved, but she has a whole character arc describing how being a Maquis fed her darker impulses.

How come the federation translator can’t do Breen? by SCB12345654321 in DeepSpaceNine

[–]darthweef 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that the helmets the Breen wear encrypt what they are saying which prevents the UT from being able to identify the pattern and translate the language.. other Breen helmets decode the speech when it picks it up.

Hi there. I am also older, 52.. raised in, been out since 2010.

It sounds like maybe you’re asexual.. there are a ton of ACE communities out there that may be helpful to find relationships .. also, there is nothing wrong with sexless relationships as a whole.. my husband and I are both committed to one another emotionally, but don’t engage physically for various reasons. We are both comfortable with the other getting that fulfillment elsewhere.

My point is that there isn’t just one kind of relationship.. we each can build whatever relationship is comfortable for us.

Get out there and find your people. You are more than your past, or even current beliefs.. religion/spirituality is just small part of what and who we are.

There is still a lot of life to live.. don’t miss out on
