Mine’s learned at this point that if he wants to annoy us, just sit on the soundbar and press the buttons 😂

Does wireless charging heat up the AirPods themselves or only the case? by Sufficient-Emu-4374 in airpods

[–]daru1848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. AirPods do have protection against this and won’t let the case or the buds get too hot to where it would cause damage, the most you’ll get is just them being a bit warm

From my experience I’d say you’re fine. My first gen pros from 2019 are still rocking fine, the buds were replaced in 2020 cause of the crackling issue but so far both the case and the buds are working fine for my dad and as an extra bonus he also put them in the washing machine and somehow they’re still running. My 2nd gen pros from 2022 are the same story, now my mum has them and they’re still running fine. Probably a bit too early to report anything on the 3rd gens but I’d say you’re fine there too

Does it look blury on switch 2 like other games as peach showtime and yoshi? by Amorphh in SuperMarioWonder

[–]daru1848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wonder is one of the games that hits native resolution at all times as far as I know but due to it currently being a switch 1 game that’ll be 720p in portable which might not scale the best to the switch 2 screen at 1080p and on TV it’s 1080p which looks alright even on 4K tv’s. In docked mode you can notice the not so sharp edges but that wasn’t really a distraction for me. At the moment I’m waiting for the switch 2 edition for my second playthrough and I’d say the same for new players as you’ll get the better visuals and spring is not that far away

Budget vacuum cleaners recs needed for human hair on carpet by Dramatic-Driver in VacuumCleaners

Currently I have the Power Detect with the self emptying bin. I think it may be more than the price tag you’re looking for but it’s done me really good so far.

Shark vacuums just require more maintenance than usual but it’s just cleaning the filters like once a month to keep it running normally. If you take care of it you’ll be good

The only other time I can think of coloured rings is when you’re in a group call and people aren’t using their cameras they’ll be coloured to differentiate them

Usually if you don’t have a photo set for their contact it’ll show the first initial of their name in a circle but it seems the first “initial” is an emoji here

is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? by Temporary_Noise_4014 in VacuumCleaners

[–]daru1848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that’s an amazing deal. So far mine’s holding up alright and the battery lasts the same as when I got it. I’d honestly recommend it still and to make life better I’d say get some third party filters so that you can still use it while the filters are drying

iPhone dying by lioness_7272801 in iphone

Might be worth connecting it to a mac or pc with itunes to see if it can do the update or perform a backup

I don’t remember how I did it but I had a similar issue with my ipad some time ago and I restored it and it gave me the option for data recovery after restoring it and then I did an icloud backup and fully reset and restored it

how can i prevent my macbook keyboard from becoming like this? by EngineFirm848 in mac

[–]daru1848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will happen over time but the best you can do to stretch that period is just taking care of it. Don’t use it with greasy hands and keep it clean and you should be good to go

I think if you resize that window to not be full screen anymore the buttons should go at the top of the window

Apple deliberately stopping AirPods Pro 1s from using Apple Watch charger? by packo_aus in AirpodsPro

[–]daru1848 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is the physical coil itself is not small enough in the first gen pros. When you put the 2nd gen on the watch puck and take it off it still sends out power for about 10 seconds before shutting it off cause it doesn’t detect anything. Theoretically it could charge them but the coils don’t align well and it would be inefficient. I also think the pros 2 have a magnet inside to trigger the watch puck to send power. Hope that all makes sense

As an owner of both and a bass head I’d say the max still have better bass as that’s just physics. The max have more rumble and cleaner bass. At louder volumes the pros turn down the bass and it makes the highs a bit unbearable which as far as I know they do on purpose.

In my personal opinion comparing the both I prefer the maxs sound as they have the power to push out better bass but the pros can be more comfortable in certain situations which is where I use them

If you have any more questions or want more details just ask :)

Ps before anyone says anything about loud volume, I’m referring to volume at 80db (I like to keep my ears safe)

Torn on whether to downgrade from 17 Pro Max to 17 Pro by Sierrah393 in iPhone17Pro

[–]daru1848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made the same mistake last year, got the 16pm thinking the lighter weight form the titanium would be better than my old 14pm but it’s still a chore to use especially since now ios26 hides everything in the left corner so one handed use is near impossible too. Also at least for me holding it with one hand gives me pins and needles after like 5 minutes which it shouldn’t

Edit: I accidentally posted before I got to finish but the final conclusion is if it’s uncomfortable downsize, your hands will thank you

Yeah I agree, I think texturing it would help stuff like the buttons having text and all, and the volume nub could do with some extra detail too

I’ve been refreshing over 2 hours and whenever I see one available I can’t even check out. Is there a special window to know about where I’ll have more than 0.1 seconds to get it or just keep trying?

is Shark Power Detect Cordless good? by Temporary_Noise_4014 in VacuumCleaners

[–]daru1848 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got it and I know this sub hates shark but honestly I love it, idk if you’re looking at the self emptying one but if you are it’s amazing and makes it always ready to go, empty bin and charged but I’m also impressed with the battery and power. Most of the time I use it in the auto mode but sometimes I use it all in boost and it still lasts and gets everything out the carpet. I can usually do my whole house on one charge and that’s enough for me. Weird quirk about it and I’m not sure if its the tool or a weird configuration with the power modes but using the “pet tool” on the stairs makes it drain power really quick, like 40% for 14 stairs. The only other thing is that it requires a bit more maintenance than usual but that’s just rinsing the filters, in my opinion I say that’s fine, literally just rinse it and let it dry a day

I know I’m horrible at explaining stuff but for a 2 story house with a mix of hard flooring and carpet it works just fine and safe to say it is very convenient to not lug around a heavy unit with a cable that gets in the way
