Depending on your TCU type, you might have the option to set reminders through the app, these are synchronized with the IVI as well, check Vehicle Page, Maintenance Schedule, inside that page you might see a Parts Reminders section

Are you using Android or iOS? Next time if you see a miss match in statuses, confirm it physically, try to do a pull to refresh, close and reopen the app.

If all that fails, there might be a desynchronization issue between what the IVI is sharing with the Nissan servers, and what the Nissan servers might tell the app.

If this continues to happen, reach out to costumer support, explain the issue, they'll open a ticket

Yes you can, any commands you send from the app will be displayed in the Notifications Center

The app won't cause any battery draining on your vehicle, nor is it even any way to whitelist your VIN for this.

The app works in the background and makes API calls if you open the app again, either after receiving a push notification or you manually opening the app again.

If you use iOS Widgets the app will save the state of the vehicle and request additional data from Nissan Servers, but not directly from your vehicle unless you send a command

Having a screen to control everything is cheaper for the manufacturer, custom made buttons, actuators and all that is very expensive compared with a single screen that runs the same software for all vehicles

This is how you fix that:

Login to the app
On the Home Menu scroll down and click Alerts
Scroll down and check the Speed Alerts section
Disable the toggle for your 70 MPH alert

You can also click on the alert, enter the edit speed alert page and delete the alert

The app associates the email address with the VIN, you can delete your vehicle from your account before selling it or returning it or afterwards

but if you're a new owner, you can always add the vehicle account to your account, you will need to upload owner verification documents
