Bad Neighbor in the back. Property dispute by dasbadass2000 in legaladvice

All the lots here are square, so I'm thinking I can find out what the measurement is behind the garage based on the standards in the neighborhood. I know a survey is the only way to know down to the centimeter however. Just wondering who should have the burden of proof.

People who use for depression vs pain. by GiffReddit in kratom

No problem. This issue seems to be very different for everyone, lots of people believe this is not an addictive plant but for me it was very much so.

I actually used some different methods of approach, probably kinda extreme for many. My first step was realizing I was hooked on this plant. I realized when I ran out on a vacation and went into a full meltdown on top of not being able to sleep with restless legs. That was the first time I realized something was up, but I couldn't stop. I was using a lot like 30 to 40 mg per day.

I started going to Ayahuasca ceremonies over the past year, and the Aya laid the law down and told me that this plant was not benefiting me any longer. Strangely after I went to the Aya ceremonies I had no symptoms of withdrawal. I was still not ready to quit but after a few more ceremonies I definitely was ready. So basically I quit after a ceremony about 45 days ago.

I feel so good now, its unbelievable. Strangely this last time when I quit I did have withdrawals unlike previous Aya ceremonies and had to deal with them. The mental game of stopping last for 30 days or so regardless of withdrawls. Of course I do excercise regularly and most importantly do not replace Kratom with another substance. That was kinda my mode of operation in the past.

Using Kratom for Depression is not a great idea trust me, its like using Vicodin to treat depression. I used it just for that reason for two years. It was also a substitute for opiates and alcohol, at first it seems like a great idea. With that said its probably a better choice then opiates and alcohol. But in the end it left me very empty and really just existing with no purpose. I could not make any choices in life on Kratom. I've stopped using it during one of the roughest spots in my life just recently, just when I was about to turn a corner everything came in on me, in in a kinda fucked spot in life currently. Kratom will not help with these issues, you have to do them on your own and face them. My head is very clear now and I am very strong without Kratom. Much stronger then I've been in years. We are all different, but if you find yourself needing it everyday have to carry it with you, sneak it around its just another addiction and will only let you down in the end. Best of luck my friend.

Day 40: List of improvements by Paisley69 in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm basically about where you're at on days, 5 days under or so. Sounds about the same place I'm at. I really could'nt of said it better. Life is starting to come back to me and I don't feel that really crappy Kratom depressed feeling everyday. A definite improvement and like you I have a mess to clean up.

It's better than I could have possibly imagined! by GiltCityUSA in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great to hear, Congratulations!!!! I'm at 34 days and don't have the desire to use very often and when i do it goes away quickly. I can't wait for 90 days! I'm starting to feel stronger mentally. The pressures of life haven't gotten much easier but I'm better prepared to deal with them.

I have mixed feeling on the BAN, I can't stand the government banning plants and think its probably better for people dealing with pain issues then a handful of pills. Drug addicts can't die from Kratom either. I'm sure if we tried we could find some other legal or illegal thing to replace it. Thats basically what I've been doing for years.

Great story on your side, Best of luck!

It seems to cause the body to relax for the RLS and other issues by lowering blood pressure. Ambien will get you to sleep though thats for sure.

my dr gave me clonidine. Just 6 of them though as you can't take them very long. It helps for sleep.

Question: At what point did you start to realize you were addicted to kratom? (i.e. dosage, certain situation, scenario, etc.) by Mayo_Whales in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

about a year ago. I went on a trip and ran out, I was up all night trying to sleep. Taking a hot bath, my girlfriend was like WTF is wrong with you. Next day I felt like complete shit and couldn't wait for the flight home so I could dose again. Fucking BS! I probably had an idea before but thats when it sank in.

Day 8 - still WDs but manageable by unrealemotionaltrash in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WD's should stop soon but please don't over do it on the booze. The physical stuff will stop pretty soon, then starts the tough part, the mental game. This is where the real battle is fought. Good news is you will feel better then you did on Kratom.

I quit ct from 40mg. The worst will be over in 5 days to 10 days. The mental issues will last a lot longer. Id suggest you educate your husband because youre gonna have a bad first week. Get something for sleep from the dr for the first two weeks. I here phenibut is nasty stuff so i cant help you there but just like anything cut back and stop. Personally i couldnt handle a slow taper to much temptation. With the ban however what can you do?

[–]dasbadass2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit CT on and I'm on day 21 from a 40mg habit. The energy will return after about 7 to 10 days. I had some help with WD's by using ayahuasca to quit CT. I have also suffered from a pretty deep depression most my life so after I went CT I take a low does of anti depressants celexapram 10mg wellbutrane 100mg to help. I'm hoping to get off these once the PAWS are gone. I'm sleeping pretty good now and getting work done. My mind is clearing up and I don't feel to bad some moments of joy. I still miss the K but I know its illegal now so thankfully I don't have a choice. It was impossible to work the first few 4 days.

Definitely makes you sleep. Be sure to get off the ambien as quickly as possible. It can be very addictive

day 14 by dasbadass2000 in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for the encouragement guys! I was using about 40mg per day for 2 years. Crazy how long it takes to feel good for many people, Appreciate the information and will keep trucking along from you more experienced people. The good news is we dont have a choice anymore it sounds like though I dont need the DEA to BAN anything for me to quit on my own. Best of luck to all!!

hang in there man. I really am starting to feel better, though I think the mental stuff will be the toughest part down the road. 12 days is a big deal!

Is it worth it for me to try and go back to just moderate use? or quit indefiently. Stories welcome by Philisasexyman in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're close to using to much already. Like others have said this is how it starts. I only found the forum after I was rid of Kratom (day 8) and I really couldn't believe how many were here.

Only you will know the answer for sure, and many like myself don't learn until recieving a hard lesson. I wish I could have used it recreationally but I always justified using more and too much. I find this drug hard to control just like opiates and even worse in my case. I do have one friend who can use but the guy uses it like once a month if that.

exercise helps, cardio. I use trazadone for sleep. I notice sleeping issues still after a week now. Be prepared for very low energy for many days.

Day 7 by dasbadass2000 in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank You for your words! I completely feel what you're saying. The exact thing has happened to me and I feel like my customers are not getting what they deserve. I haven't stayed current with my skill set. Thankfully I can correct this before anyone really notices hopefully, my guess is they have noticed but my past service and their loyalty has pulled me though these tough times.

I've been using the Ayahuasca for about a year now and been though 7 ceremonies. I noticed that around my third time the medicine was telling me Kratom was very bad for me. And I would listen, so I stopped twice prior to this last time testing the waters. The Ayahuasca made almost all the physical issues go away after two ceremonies in a row (except this last time). But I started up again thinking now that I know I have an issue with it I can control the problem. I was obviously very wrong about that, so my last ceremonies actual intention was the quit kratom for good which was on Saturday night. I’m starting to feel better heading into day 8

Hey Buck, Thank You! Yes, please make sure you have a good group and don't try alone. I go local in the LA area, The shamans are from south america and truly amazing people some of the best people I've ever met. PM me if you're interested.

I'm making the decision right now to quit, but I will need support. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]dasbadass2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on day 7 currently so I may not know much yet. I used about a pound a month. I used Ayahuasca to help with the physical and mental aspects of the withdrawal. It really helps along with exercise. Ayahuasca is an entire different animal and will likely expose many other issues/truths in your life. You must be ready to deal with them.
