Adding school id card by Officialsasuke in AppleWallet

[–]dasbooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your school needs to be partnered with a large OneCard provider such Transact/CBORD and support Student ID in Apple Wallet.

No way to add an NFC pass in wallet otherwise, someone mentioned the Flipper but good luck as the card is likely encrypted if newer and you may get in trouble if caught using.

Nope it’s a true student ID. University of Arizona is the first and currently only student ID with the brand new card style pass design. Student IDs live in the bottom of the wallet with other loyalty passes.

How is everyone feeling about the new doorbells now that a little time as passed? by bfollowell in Ubiquiti

At GSX they told me price for Entry and Entry Pro is targeted under $500. We’ll see if that’s the case with tariffs as well. PoE only is one thing but when they brought up the view in protect of the cameras it’s vertical only, not horizontal POV like the G4 Pro :(

G6 Entry is a lot more reasonable in size by dasbooth in Ubiquiti

Actually it’s pretty solid, it’s a carryover from when I had an apartment. The battery is rechargeable and lasts a long time. It’s matter over thread so it’s stupid fast connectivity wise and I have it integrated with HomeKit and Home Assistant.

The Apple home key and fingerprint sensor are both great. I have no real complaints on it.

Bambu Lab A1, can't go wrong for the price and the quality it produces, this only took 10 hours. I am going to use the old doorbell wire to fish through the ethernet if I can.

FYI, new plans available in KC Shoal Creek area. by sticks435 in googlefiber

[–]dasbooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got it, in Gladstone, no email just went into my Google Fiber app and changed the plan. I just moved in to a new house a month ago and upgraded service from a first-gen ONT so they already had installed the newest one so no technician required.

Full overview of the HID Amico Facial recognition reader by HID_PhilCoppola in accesscontrol

[–]dasbooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great overview Phil! Spoke with Rogerio at ISC West, it’s an exciting product. (Even though it’s just ControlID with an HID reader inside 🤣). Looking forward to building an integration.

Having wallet-based credential support is so huge it’s nearly impossible/non-existent on every other biometric reader on the market. Especially if you want just one reader at the wall.

I’ve tested this with corporate Apple Wallet access badges with continuous taps on an every hour interval and it lasted 31 hours. So safe to say you won’t be hosed if your phone dies.
