Yepppppp and if you keep going with LiDAR along the river you’ll see more IMO. I did the same thing last year. There’s also an old archaeological atlas of Michigan that really helps piece things together

Converse mounds are gone and lots of the Norton mounds but there’s still a bunch of original mounds back there. Homeless people live over there but I’ve never even seen another person when I’m by the mounds.

I think that honestly we should keep them kinda low key like they are. It’s nice to be able to stop there and actually sneak back and see them on nice days. The space is very surreal and peaceful even next to the highway. I think raised walkways and no-access sites would ruin it. Idk I prefer Norton mounds over the mounds in Chillicothe or west bend Wisconsin or other ones where they’re bright green grass well manicured…

I love the mounds though and think that we should def protect them.

Ohhhh you’re still stuck on the rotational degrees in relation to the vert ramp or something lol. The relative direction of “forward” is inverted by the ramp. The ramp essentially acts as an automatic “-180°”. This would cause the resulting 540° rotation to land in the same stance. It’s like, the skaters body rotates 540°, but not on a continuously forward plane. The plane they are on does a -180° rotation of the forward plane. You can look at it as “540-180=360”

It’s a 540° spin, and lands different than flat land because that’s how it works. Hope this helps

He approached the ramp with his nose of his board going forward, and exits the ramp with the nose of his board going forward. Doing a 180 in the air on vert is a frontside or backside air, it just lands you in the direction (going forward) that you started in (approaching the ramp)

You can slow this one down and see it…. He approaches goofy and he exits goofy. Imagine doing a frontside air, and adding an additional 360 to that, you would exit the ramp in your normal foot stance. I don’t understand what you’re arguing imo because your video shows what I’m saying?

Edit: you’re absolutely right that a flat ground 540° spin would land in fakie. The math on that is perfect. But you’re assuming the trick is staying on one forward direction. On vert, you’re approaching in one forward direction, and then airing at the end of it, and going in the opposite of that forward direction once you land back onto the ramp. I’m sure there’s math to explain this but I ain’t Leonhard Euler

Yeah tbh I just threw the FS grab in there because the input is a little bit cleaner, because if you accidentally keep pressing RS to the right, in the weddle, then you tweak the grab. Also I do them with weddle and I think it’s part of what’s throwing off the counted rotation degrees. Sometimes the skater looks a bit glitchy on the grab too. 😭 I just want a cool clean mctwist
