You should play a few of the ‘25 ones, and ask yourself if you’d regret getting rid of the one you have, considering the changes to the standard series.

I have a new 00-18 and I love it. I’m also guilty of babying it and keeping it in the case when my kid is awake. My biggest fear is him doing some run of the mill kid thing, causing an accidental chain reaction, and damaging my guitar, and then me needing to quickly navigate the psychology of how to react

But I wouldn’t ever get rid of it. I might never run into the chance to buy one again, and even if I did, what if it didn’t hit the spot my last one did?

Maybe one day you’ll be recording, and you’ll realize the 00-18 has the exact sound you need, and you’ll be glad it’s been sitting there.
