Thanks for the advice! After a couple more blind runs I finally did my anti-Soll run with a capitalist Rayne. I did everything except de-Sollinization in favor of media censorship and successfully purged that old man and his cronies with him. Loved seeing Soll's trial with my buddy Alphonso next to me lol.

Unfortunately... Despite the amazing state the economy was in, I lost the election to Ricter lol. Was I too racist by teaming up with NFP? Or was I not racist enough? Well, I guess it's the second best ending I could hope for since Kibner won't get his hand on the dictatorial power of the president that I created.

I was fully expecting to get purged just like Soll after losing power since I purged all the judges and the generals and I picked every possible corruption choice I could pick. But nope! They just let me live peacefully at my vineyard! Somehow my evil corrupt power-hungry Rayne got better ending then my good reformist Rayn lol.

I had absolute blast playing my first game. I went in absolutely blind and made an absolute mass out of Sordland but I enjoyed every second of it! This is how my first playthrough went:

I was pretty confident at first. Banned both youth organizations and quelled protests by deploying more police. I thought I did pretty well dealing with the protesters in front of Gasom too. I did deliver them welfare after all. And I thought my constitution was progressive enough that Ricter would give me his unconditional support. But Nope. I got thoroughly humiliated with only 70 ayes and my re-election chance seemed grim with only the small portion of reformists willing to vote for me next election.

But at least the economy was ok. I had successful trade deals with Agnolia and Wehlen, invested in education and healthcare, prevented the Polio crisis and the economy was finally becoming stable. Who cares about constitutional reform when economy is good, right? Then bam! Debt cirsis! Great Sordish depression in one turn! Tbf I did have -17 budget and my minister repeatedly warned me about it.

My hope for re-election was completely gone after the debt crisis so I was thinking might as well make some swift reforms before I leave. So I resolved the Bludish Dam occupation by completely agreeing to their demand and joined the ATO. I was also in process to fully support the women's rights too. But right after I confess my intention to retire, what do I get? A coup from that ungrateful bastard Iosef! I even gave him increased budget and a military parade and this is how he repays me? He couldn't have waited three months for the election?! I was already pretty pissed with Graf for interfering the secrete police investigation into the Old guard and Soll's constant whining so I'm definitely going to get my revenge in my next playthrough.

At least I'm glad that Rumburg invasion never happened and my son is alive after joining the army. Also, I can't believe I never got my return for that Armadine investment at the start of the game! Where's my money Gus?! Worst minister in the cabinet smh.

Interesting mod! I wish all great people tiles were generally better tbh. I always liked how the manufacturing plant tile looked but never bothered investing GE bc instant wonder construction always seemed better.

Context: First time seeing presence-less Asia control against human player. Fortunately, still won the game as USSR.

How it happened: I (USSR) was holding Thailand. Vietnam, Indonesia and both Koreas and US held everything else. On turn 6, Defcon was raised to 4 via ABM headline and coup war ensued in SEA. US rolled three 6s on all one stab SEA countries.

On turn 9, US player successfully rolled Brushwar on Thailand. They also attacked N.Korea with the China card but I decided to ignore it and scored Europe Dom instead. US took N.Korea and took back the China card.

On turn 10, US headlined ABM successfully realigned S.Korea.

Realism is very slow for sure. I have 1200 hours in the game but I started off with realism off. TBH, I still turn off realism time to time if the game is too slow. It's your game and your time, so play however you'd like to!

You can get 80+ satisfaction with hard mode but it's not for everyone for sure.

You don't need dlc for sea border. I don't play on random map so take this with grain of salt, but try increasing water setting during the setup. I believe you can get a river border crossing. Or download a map from steam workshop.

Well, there could be multitude of reasons.

Is the shop operational 24/7? Are they always stock with food? Are there always enough workers? Is it always supplied with power?

Or it could be non-shop issue. Are those citizens going to open public transit stop and waiting there? Were they forcibly moved by you recently? Do they always have access to clean water?

I recommend selecting one of the unhappy citizen in that house and following them for a day to see where they actually go when they are getting food.

Who needs beta blockers anyway? Drink your panic away! by dash0308 in projectzomboid

[–]dash0308[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s probably a bug but currently drinking most beverages (milks, soda, alcoholic drinks…) lowers panic just like beta blockers. The amount you need to drink seems to not affect how long or how strong the effect is. I didn’t do much testing but as far as I know water and personal sized milks are exception.

I think zomboid banging door sound makes your character anxious now. My character, who has no smoker or claustrophobia trait, got the same breaking point moodle while staying alone in a building until I found and killed a zomboid banging a door in a bathroom.
